Bullet holes in the wall? At what looks like 2 feet they must be horrible shots. Don't know how they would hit anything at 100 yards.

Why in the world would they do this? At one point, you can see bullet holes in the wall behind the man.

Can anybody top this guy? Not in my opinion. Back then the nights when I got off work at 11pm I could rush home to catch the mono log. Other nights I couldn't make it. Now being able to record shows there is no one I want to see that bad late night.

Would love to go to Cuba, but i understand the only way to get there is through a political affiliation, a religious group or an educational perhaps college group. I've been checking with online flights {i.e. Expedia} and found that there are no flights going there from California, and if i really, really want to go i'd have to either fly to Mexico or Canada, then hop the flight to Cuba, is this the only alternative? Who has gone to Cuba? How? Thank you in advance.

Road Scholar has many trips to Cuba each year. If not familar with Road Scholar the former name was Elderhostel. Looks like 3 of the 4 photo trips in 2016 are sold out except for May. Fly out of Miami. Once you get to Miami all cost would be included. You will have a guide very familiar with photographing in Cuba and another person called a group leader. There may be more than one instructor and group leader. Cost is not cheap, about $4300 for 8 days. Again this would include round trip air fair from Miami to Cuba, hotels, transportation and meals while on the trip. More information is available at this link. Once on the page look on the left side for complete program details: http://www.roadscholar.org/n/program/summary.aspx?id=1-7DGHZW&MC=

My 2 cents worth. Not everyone will agree. Can of worms may be on the way.
Why why purchase a Ferrari then try to run a VW equipment on it? (Windows on a Mac)

I purchased a 27" iMac and saved about $300 going to B&H.
I think we will see more and more non-Disc machines. Software companies are wanting online ordering. May cut down on sharing software but it is a pain not being able to use my older software disc without an external drive.

My son ordered from MacMall and saved $50; $2,149 vs $2,199. Unless you spend a lot more, the savings aren't there. Less desirable models have greater discounts. Also, many of the configurations were "On backorder." He decided against AppleCare after reading about it online. Chances of something going wrong in three years are remote. I've had a 21.5" and a 27" since 2011, and they've never had a problem. He has a year to buy it if he decides he wants it.

I'm surprised that the iMacs no longer include a provision for inserting a disc. He'll have to buy an external drive. My 2011 iMac has an opening in the right side for a disc.

When I purchased my Mac I went through B&H. Saved several hundreds of dollars over going to the Apple store. Also purchased from B&H an Apple Care warranty at a reduced price.

I probably mentioned that my son has been thinking about replacing his Dell running Vista with a Mac. It looks like he's made his decision. Now all he has to do is commit to spending the $1,600.

21.5" iMac
16GB memory
1TB Fusion drive
Wired keyboard w/keypad.

HGST 2TB external drive in an enclosure of some kind.

If money were no object, he'd get a loaded 27", but this one should be fine for him. He'll be running a couple of Windows-only programs in Boot Camp.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

Wow! My late 2012 was a piece of cake. No screw driver needed.

Just out of curiosity, I looked online to see what the situation was for adding memory to newer Macs. I added memory to my older 27" iMac, and it was quick and easy.

This video shows how to install new memory into a late 2013 iMac. Unbelievable! Virtually every screw, every cable, and every component must be removed - and then put back correctly. If I ever get a new Mac, I will pay the inflated price for maximum memory, rather than save a few dollars by adding memory myself.

Correct. Other reasons for Costco gas, all cars going same way, room in between to pull out even if car in front is not finished, can only pay at pump with credit or debit (no going in to pay with cash, then going back in for change) and lower price. And the number reason...no one walks in to order a sub sandwich or use the restroom while you wait in line.

Haven’t walked through a mall lately Jerry? Normal word for many of the younger crowd (not all). A word used by all their heroes today, singers, comics and sports figures. I suspect it will someday find its way into the dictionary.

I have been using Pinterest for things like this. Pinterest provides a Pinterest button for your task bar. By saving this post I can go back to the URL and scroll through the whole post, your question and all the answers.

Often some of the helpful instructions or suggestions on how to do photo related actions are ones I want to save and file away. How do I print out such instructions/suggestions that cover more than one screen on my 21 inch IMAC using Mavericks OS. I know I can do screen captures to capture long multi-screen posts and then print them out, but I would like to print/save the whole message in one pass. Thanks in advance for the help.

I've read many articles similar to this about how portions have been growing over the years, and we tend to eat what's on our plates. "You finish your dinner! There are starving children in..."

The cost of food is relatively low for restaurants, so giving customers larger portions is a cheap way to lure customers. Stuffing ourselves with food that probably isn't very good quality to begin with, is part of what accounts for the growing waistlines of so many people.

The next time you watch an old movie, notice how big a cup of coffee is. It's probably just four ounces. No restaurant would get away with that today. And if 7-UP sold its product in bottles of seven ounces, as it used to, it would not be very popular.

My wife and I alway split a meal in restaurants. The only time we order separate is at our favorite Mexican place. Take home good for two more meals.
