If you look at the screenshot carefully, the only mention of the Postal Service is on 1/25. All that other traveling is UPS(Brown Truck)

Thanks for your help everyone. I just checked online for the ships deployment history, and it is definitely the USS Brooke FFG-1. Again, thanks

[She looks a lot like the USS Coontz early photographs, which was originally hull number 1 and then DLG-9, and DDG-40.

It certainly does look like the Coontz, but it had hull #9 until 1972. I still haven't found #1, but maybe it is a Farragut Class.

That would be a DE, and I could not find a #1. The site I looked at had ships from the 1800's. Thanks for your response.

I have been trying to ID this ship...it was traveling with us (USS Yorktown CVS-10) in 1968. I have checked online for all types of destroyers (DD,DDG,DE,etc) with hull#1 with no luck. Can anyone tell me what kind of ship this is?

I usually string them along for a bit, just to f with them. It's been a few weeks since they've called.

I've tried that. I told a guy that I needed to verify that he was legit and asked him for his name, name of his bank, account and routing number, but he just kept right on with his spiel. I get these 4-5 time a year. One time I got three within a week.

B&W film was overly sensitive to blue, so a yellow filter was used to obtain a somewhat normal looking image, red was used for a more dramatic effect. I would think that simply converting your color shot to B&W using the various controls will give you the look you want.

Wow, I just took another look at your photos. The names on that plane are the names of those who were MIA in 1969.

Interesting post. I was on the Yorktown in the late 60's. We had one S-2f go missing (Nam) and a minor midair between 2 of them.

"Everything in my frame is going to be in focus.

I haven't used a view camera in over 40 years, but what fun they were to use.

I have the SLT-77 with the lens you mentioned, I love it. It is a lot heaver than my old Konica-Minolta, that is mainly because of the lens, it is a huge piece of glass (compared to the 5.6 on the K-m). It has so many features, get a book. I have one by David Busch which goes into great detail.

So, I am about to buy myself the Sony a77 as my next DSLR instead. Hopefully, your views might help me change my mind again.[/quote]
