Windows 7 has a built-in magnifier. It's part of the accessibility helps. Look under "control center>personalization>Ease of access center." The magnifier can be turned on there. It can be set to open on startup, or opened manually when you want it. It will open to dock, open on the cursor as a "lens" or open as full screen. All very helpful. Learn the keyboard shortcuts and it's very quick to use.
They're all great; I like he look of that last one -- it looks lit by low sunlight, but you can see there's no sun to shine in it -- wonder how it looks so lit?
These are great photos, and rather clever captions, too! Why not have some fun while we're at it?

Nice area. You must be somewhere near my favorite recreation spot - Turning Stone.
Yes, I'm quite near Turning Stone -- about 5 miles from it
Congratulations -- great work

Beautiful series of photos of this butterfly -- how lucky you are to have one visit! I like the full wing-span best -- the angle makes it interesting, and it fills the photo area nicely. Sometimes it's hard to do with moving subjects, but if you can (or crop after) maybe you could try to change the composition more -- have the subject sitting with room in front of it as if ready to fly off; give it some room! Just a thought.

I can see that it's going to take me a few tries to get this site working right for me! I didn't scroll down far enough to realize how many replies there were!
Thank you all for the welcome and comments about my moth photos. I believe it is a clearwing Hummingbird Moth. Very fast on the wing, that's for sure!
I'm in the middle (more or less) of NY -- between Syracuse and Utica. I see that several New Yorkers have already identified themselves -- good to know there are others around, including from my area, actually!

Welcome! That's a beautiful image!
Thank you, Dr Rae! I don't see hummingbird moths very often, so was happy to get a few good shots!
Hello to everyone!
