I'm dj (djW) from upstate New York, U.S.A., retired secretary and only too up serious photography in the last five years. I enjoy photographing almost everything, especially in nature. A friend told me about this site and I decided to join to see what I can learn here from you all.

Thank you all for the welcome and comments about my moth photos. I believe it is a clearwing Hummingbird Moth. Very fast on the wing, that's for sure!
I'm in the middle (more or less) of NY -- between Syracuse and Utica. I see that several New Yorkers have already identified themselves -- good to know there are others around, including from my area, actually!
