My brother in law. He was a fashion photographer during the 70s and 80s.
He still goes on site for his shoots, but for his own enjoyment now.
He has a series of calendars.

With all due respect, how is your diatribe any different?
You chastise people for buying non refillable ink tank printers. I had an Epson 8550, and all I can say is the photographs printed were subpar. This is a photography group

I understand your comments, and yeah some people are rude and condescending, but you just committed the same crime.

“ Someone else said they would only buy HP cartridges -- I have an answer for that -- professional equipment like printers using eight or more cartridges notwithstanding, if you own a printer that you paid a couple of hundred dollars for, you didn't buy a printer, you bought into a very expensive ink program. Those lower-priced printers are so cheap because when you buy one, HP, Canon, or any others the manufacturer has you by the balls! You will be paying through the nose for your ink. Epson, and now Canon and HP have printers that use tanks which are easy to fill and cost a fraction of what cartridges do.”

You may have taken a different tack, but you’re still criticizing somebody’s buying habits.

I remember buying a small “computer,” put out by Sinclair. I think I got it for $99 through a campaign with American Express.

I started on a CP/M system, installed on a NorthStar PC.
Predates the IBM PC by 2 years.

When I met Jaco, circa 68, he was in a band called Las Olas Brass.
Not sure, but I think he played trumpet.

One more sad life of a musician with an addiction to drugs & alcohol. It’s a tough life.
Mark

Like I posted, he didn’t even smoke cigarettes when I first met him.
What turns creatives to drugs?

A brilliant bass guitarist, perhaps the greatest. Sadly he dies at the age of 35. One more incredible musician afflicted by drug and alcohol addiction. More information in the video.
This is acoustic music, but still jazz. The musicianship is superb. Not my usual "cup of tea".

I had been a drummer in a NYC rock band, and in 1967 my mom decided to move us to Ft Lauderdale.
I attended NorthEast hs, and met Jaco through a mutual friend. The friend was a drummer in a band with Jaco, and I actually got behind his drums, and jammed with Jaco.
I brought all my records with me from NYC, and showed Jaco the Fresh Cream album, which Jaco hadn’t heard
I lent him the album, but don’t remember if he returned it or not.
My little contribution to music history.
When I knew Jaco, he was as straight as an arrow, and could always be found on the Lauderdale beach.
When I found out Jaco had died, I was really upset. I followed his career, and loved his work with Weather Report.

Quantum physics has disproven the Big Bang theory. Even one of Einstein’s basic theories that nothing can exceed the speed of light, has been disproved by quantum physics. Quantum entanglement experiments have shown that particles huge distances apart, are connected:Entanglement is what Einstein referred to as "spooky action at a distance." It's a phenomenon by which one particle can effectively "know" something about another particle instantaneously, even if those two particles are separated by a great distance.
Physics as we’ve known it is approaching a new frontier.
