I also have been using the transfer function in ViewNX2 and now with View NX-i. It might be possible that View NX2 doesn't support RAW files from the D7200. I'm not sure if that's the problem. View NX-i is the replacement for View NX2. You might download NX-i from Nikon's website.

I Called Nikon, they did say that I need to download NX-I to be able to transfer the 'copy right' info, but My point is that I include the copy-right info so anyone try to copy Would be able see it, otherwise, WHAT GOOD would that info good for!!! (I use CARD reader to transfer files and no problem with my D750.)

Lexar USB 3.0 reads CF and SD. I think I saw it on sale by one of the major dealers in the last week.

I have the same card reader it works great until I brought the Nikon D7200, it read the card and transfer the files, but when I open up the file wih 'ViewNX 2', it did not transfer the exif file completely, for "COPY RIGHT" info does not display. need to get a new one?

Thank you Ecobin. This is one of the major reasons I like UHH, for we help each other so much.

I'll look forward to reading more responses by UHH members per Affinity.

Does it work on JPEG or RAW or both?

I was out shooting today and when my battery got low I switched to a fresh one. As soon as I did that ERR began to flash in the top display on the camera. Switching batteries and lenses did not help. I called Nikon tech support and they had me reset everything with the camera and still no luck. Her best suggestion was that my Transcend memory card was not on their "approved list" and that must be the problem. I tried to explain to her that I have used those cards since I got the camera and was well into this one when the failure occurred. Not to mention the fact that it happened just when I changed the battery and not the card. I can access the menu functions and iew

Hi Phil,
I had a similar problem with an ERR message. it was caused by the Third party Battery, when the battery could not put out enough power to complete the function, it flag the "ERR' message, after I switch back to a good battery, the problem disappeared.
good luck, Benny.

I have taken this lens on many trips and have never regretted it. It is a handy lens with decent quality and I like not having to carry a bunch of lenses when traveling.

ditto here, and it's better then decent quality but not good enough for the MONEY MAKING PROFESSIONALS! So if you are a money making professionals, don't use this lens.

Good point. Thank you for your input.

I have used this lens with D300, D610 D7100 and now the D750, I have no issue with this 28-300 lens, please note that it is the NIKON 28-300 zoom, not the other one that made by other company.

All you do is to hold the little button in while you wind the film and it will stay on that frame :)

Well! its true for FILM camera and the film it may move and may not line up 100%, again not all camera can be done that way either; With DSLR can not and will not work your way!

That's gotten to be a very popular double exposure process lately. Google double exposure, and you'll see lots of articles about how to do it.

I really haven't done any RAW work. Some 10 years ago I purchased for about 150$ Capture NX and then only couple years later when I upgraded my Windows OS suddenly the software wasn't compatible. I decided never to purchase Capture NX again. In the future I plan to do more RAW shooting and so my question is this. Is there any free or inexpensive software I could use to open and to do very basic image manipulation in the RAW format? Thanks.

I have ViewNX 2 (free) and Capture NX 2 (purchased prior Window-10) on my Window 10 PC, both are working good. Window 10 operate under 64 bit mechine, download them from Nikon site again and make sure you are selection the right version, it will work.

Anyone have experience with degradation of pictures due to the constant faint vibration of the ship? I was thinking of using some foam or soft rubber as a vibration absorber in some fashion that may help, but its hard to experiment before you're on the ship, and then the resources are limited.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or words of wisdom.

I use the monopod with quick release, I hoke the the leg on my belt with little or no extentsons, the body absorb most of the vibrations.
I use D750 with 28-300. goog lucks.

I'm getting a little frustrated with the diffusers that came with my SB910 and the SB700. Might anyone have a recommendation for a better flash diffuser? Something versitile that will be useful for my real estate photo sideline and that also would work for everyday indoor snaps. Thanks in advance.

Have any of you try to use the "Smith-Victor D-Pack, Diffusion Filter ", you can wrape it on the Flash head, I cut in to size and glue it on with super glue, it works pretty good for me and you only lost 1/2 stop. you can find it in Adorama for $21, and $26 in B&H.. good luck guys and let me know how you made...

Joe, I sent my D750 to the Nikon Service Center in Melville?, NY on March 1. So it will be 3 weeks tomorrow. Is this a normal wait time for a recall repair ?
I am still glad I have my D7000. ~FiddleMaker

I sent mine in the next day after I posted the recall, and I got it back in 10 days. Since it's a huge recall, I guess it must have back log, be patient and you will get yours back in time.
