Steve posted images of an European robin the other day thought he might these images I shot this past summer. A little shaky, I was balanced on an 8 ft. ladder. Took about a week a couple hours a day until they would ignore me.

A couple of shots taken on a cold misty January morning while walking the dog. He managed to get himself in one of them but then lost interest and left me to it.
The shot without the dog in has been converted to B&W using Nik Software

Sample of a night shot and a daylight shot with my trail cam.
Wildgame Innovations. I think about $129.00.

An elderly man in Texas had owned a large farm for several years.

He had a large pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed
it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over.

He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit.

As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.

As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond.

He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, 'we're not coming out until you leave!'

The old man frowned, 'I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked.'

Holding the bucket up he said,
'I'm here to feed the alligator...'

Some old men can still think fast. :)

My first camera was a Nikon F. I shot the world's Fair many times and had my own baby photography business, but when I was just out taking pictures it seemed I always had the wrong lens on. I now shoot with a Canon SX20IS. It has all of the bells and whistles plus a 20x zoom. The pictures are bueatiful. My only complaint is that it shoots with a 180 resolution. So what is the big deal about a DSLR with thousands of dollars in lens ?

Could we see some pictures please?

Thank you Horseart. I know how bad you must have felt when you lost your "adopted" dog. Strange how we feel responsible for something we did not create.

Thank you Mollymolly. I totally agree. Every time I look at those two kittens I get a lump in my throat. I wish I would of tried harder to help them.

dlwhawaii want to earn $80K a year? Try Pa. top salary in most districts in my county is $82,000. Oh yeah best insurance right thru retirement. And retirement at 75% salary can start as early as 55. May have to wait a while for a job though am told there are over 1000 certified teachers looking for a job in our county alone. Oh and every 10 years you can take a year off with half pay for a "sabbatical.".the way to get your salary up is to take night courses (paid for by the district.) Each step up means an increases in salary. No your not graded on how ell your students do but on how well the principle likes you.

Good point. Of course its impossible to tell if she was a feral cat. I live on a gravel road that is a thoroughfare between two paved roads. Our place is fairly secluded and I know it is a favorite dumping place for people trying to get rid of unwanted pets. We have seen cats released that still have flea collars on them. This cat did not act like the feral cats I am used to seeing. She never tried to stay hidden in the woods and was very skinny when we did get a good look at her. However, feral or domesticated it was hard to think that we could not help them especially the kittens who never had a chance. Thanks for looking.

Someone dumped a pregnant female cats in our woods. It took several weeks before she trusted another human being to care for her. She did take food but would not allow us to pet her.She did attempt to bring the kittens to us to share her food but we never saw them feed although they may have fed after dark. I am sure there were more kittens than these two but something must have killed them. Two months later the whole family disappeared probably killed by the coyotes or great Horned Owl. What are people thinking when they do this?

Someone left this pregnant cat to fend for herself in our woods

It tok several weeks to have her trust enough to feed her.

This is two of her kittens seeing a human for the first time. .
