Posting HONEST replies even with reasons and comments appear to upset certain people

I never say, good shot/bad shot as these are pointless comments.

If you see a photo I believe it helps the shooter and others to say "why"

Hey, a Brooklyn fella, how ya doin'. :-)

1. I always need help and I try to help when I can.
2. Too many, but usually multitasking, editing and organizing photos, while I am here.
3. Not sure I understand the question, is it Brooklynese? :D
4. If someone posts a photo that I think is lousy I usually do not comment. If it is someone new I occasionally PM them to offer a suggestion rather than risk embarrassing them in public. Being honest, by the way, is not always doing the right thing in all circumstances. Some folks just can't seem to handle the truth, or at least the truth as each one of us thinks it is.
5. I post photos for both stated reasons. I think the most pleasurable part of the forum is sharing photos and learning from the critiques.

Yes... but this is the beauty of an "open" forum. We can choose to answer one or all of your questions. Also, it might be easier if you formed complete sentences with each question. Regardless, I will only answer one as well. I only leave "critical" feedback when someone specifically asks for it. Otherwise, I give the standard Facebook comment: It looks great!

Thank you for your answers.
I will try to explain you my question #3. For example I placed /posted/ my picture. I see that a lot of people looked at my picture but only few of them or nobody left their comments. Why?

1. both
2. couple of hours a day while weather is crappy
3. even with your re-phrasing, still not sure I understand what you're asking. You want to know if we know (or can guess) why someone would look at one of our photos, but not leave a message?
4. I am not qualified to judge. If I can't find anything redeeming IMO, I don't say anything. If I can say something positive, along with gentle suggestion (sloping, cropping, focus), I do.
5. I have posted photos to share humor of scene or situation, or fun technique discovered, to request ID (bird) or critique, some were pride in result (ol' blue eyes and others) or to share beauty of scenery and wildlife in my area, hopefully showing a bit of the joy I experienced. I have also created several forum topics that produced very interesting and informative (to me) replies.

I am sorry if my question #3 is difficult to understand but your guess is correct.

You're right. I guess most of the time, I say nothing if the picture isn't great, but it is possible to have a great picture without it being technically great. So to clarify, if I see a "bad" picture or one that just doesn't appeal to me, I say nothing and move on. If I see a good picture that maybe a bit under or overexposed, I say "good shot" and leave it at that. If I see a "bad" picture and someone asks for honest feedback, then I won't hold back. Hope this clarifies my response.

Frankly, a lot of the time I don't consider myself experienced enough to give the technical feedback some are looking for. Sure, I can identify what looks blurry or underexposed, but I don't always have the answer to fix it. Some don't like the negative feedback without any constructive advice. It's easy to say your picture sucks, but it's not easy to offer some helpful advice unless you are prepared for a lengthy Q&A session with the OP.

Question 6 as in your thread title: Information, interaction with those with an interest in photography, entertainment and it keeps me out of the bars. :-D

A huge majority of the folks who view a photo do not comment on it, which one can readily discern by comparing the number of views to the number of replies for any thread on the forum.

Why do most people choose to look at a photo but not comment? Damned if I know, but it sounds like a great taxpayer funded study that any college would be willing to undertake. :D
