I mentioned the other day that my computer worked, but my monitor didn't. I switched cables, and it worked fine - until it didn't. Then I switched monitors, and it worked fine - until it didn't. Then I swapped video cards with another old Dell, and the monitor works fine. I ordered a new, basic video card, and it will arrive today.

One thing I noticed that should have been a tip-off is that I wasn't able to watch videos using Chrome. They would start to play, but they would stop and start and not play smoothly. Firefox played videos fine. With this different card, I can watch videos using Chrome. These Dell desktops are six and nine years old.
