I have a new Fuji Film Digital camera model # S3300. This camera does not have any threads on the lense in which to screw on a Polarizer filter. Does anyone know of a generick adapter that would go over or attach to my lenses which then would accomadate a polarizer filter? Fuji does not make one.
My camera model is Fuji-FinePix S3300
Not S3300HD
Do you think the adapter would work on my S3300 model?

If you scroll down the page, it says it fits your model also.
Thank you for your help. I will order the adapter today. I hope to see a big improvement in my outdoor photo's now that I can have a use of a polarizer filter. Thanks again.

I have the same problem with a Fuji X100 camera that I bought. The lens cover that came with the camera just slides over the top. There are no threads to attach a protective filter. I bought an adapter for the Fuji X100, but it too doesn't fit.
Does anyone actually have an adapter for the X100? If so I'd like the specifics.. TIA :)

Thanks for checking on this JOSO. That's the one I ordered, but it doesn't fit. Maybe I have an early build or I'm doing something wrong. :(
when you remove the one that is on the front of the camera now, the adapter does not fit, or won't stay attached?

I finally got it with the help of a friend on The Mindful Eye Forum! There is a "cosmetic" (useless) ring that comes with the camera on the front of the lens. If you push on it hard, and turn counter clockwise, it will come off (eventually). Then the adapter ring will fit on the body along with a filter. However then you can't use the cap that comes with the camera. IOW, the filter lens is exposed, but it's better IMHO to have that exposed than to have the original glass unprotected.
I'm sure one can find a correct size snap-in cap or cover.

Cokin makes their "A" series mount with a tripod socket adapter just for your P&S type camera. All regular filters are available for the Cokin A adapter.
