Colour in 1. Black and white in 2. But I really like them all. You certainly have a gift. Love when you post on here. Your pics are amazing. Thanks. :)

Sorry. Flickr page.
I have the EOS1100 and really like it. I have used the kit lens and also the Tamron 70-300 4-5.6 since I got it 8 months ago. I have printed up to A4 size and they are clear and sharp. Feel free to have a look at my Flickr page. I am now thinking about better lenses but undecided what to get. Hope this helps.

I am uk based.. Are all companies roughly the same in quality when it comes to print development ? Can anyone recommend a company which is uk based which does reasonably priced quality prints
I've used Photobox, they are very good and reasonable. They quite often have an offer on where they will give you 40 (4 x 6ins) for the cost of postage. Link below. I've also used Vistaprint but they weren't as good. Not used them but I believe Costco are very good.

I've just had a look and seems they are doing 60 prints at the moment.

Hi
I have purchased many items from China & Hong Kong and found them very good and eager to please the customer. Obviously you need to allow for the long delivery and as has already been mentioned - you are likely to get a very high customs bill + in the UK the Post office charge for collecting the duty.
I did have one item - an MP3 player - that was faulty and I had to return it. The supplier was very apologetic and replaced the 2Gb machine with a 4Gb one and the return postage on this small item was not m
However, despite all my satisfactory purchases, I would not like to purchase anything expensive such as a camera because apart from the hidden charges already mentioned - there is always the possibility of a faulty product and the high cost of return of something that weight.

Thank you for that. I think I might just buy my camera herein UK. Had a look at Simply Electronics and they seem to be ok and a fair bit cheaper that camera shops like Jessops. Thanks again.

Great shots. The cat is amazing. :)
I started late in photography, but don't by any means consider myself a photographer, so don't know much about film, but when I look at old prints I do have I kinda think what the ...., if that was now I would bin those. I prob keep around 50 - 60%. Never do any more than a little crop and straightening of horizons. Sometimes get carried away and just want to capture the photo. There's nothing I hate and loads I love. :)

What if an artist painted 200 canvases and only 10% were keepers??? lol just saying :)
If he painted each one in 1/250 of a second, he'd be lucky to have that many keepers. :D
Good reply Jerry. Made me laugh.

Good GRIEF PEOPLE. Don't get your panties in a bunch. Ward just asked a simple question. Some salesperson sold him a camera way above his level and all he wants to do is shoot B&W. Why was that so hard to answer? The sarcasim was wrong. When did we become so good and important that we cannot answer a simple question? Isn't that what this site is all about? If the question is so far below you, then skip it and don't say anything. Remember, a long time ago, none of us knew ALL the answers.
OK. I will get down off my soap box now.

I agree. When did we become so smart we can't just answer a question without being rude. If you don't like the question, move on. No need to be rude. Anyway to answer your question Ward. I have the same camera and when I first got it in March this year I was, well lets just say reluctant to use the M - P modes. In the portarit or landscape modes you will see Standard setting and Default setting. These come up as soon as you go into these modes. No need to go to menu. Press the little Q button and standard setting is illuminated in blue. Press set and you get lots of options from vivid right down to monochrome, or black and white as I call it. Press set and your away. There is also a little pointer when you get to monochrome. You can move the pointer to the left to get a blue effect or to the right to get sepia. Hope this helps. Good luck from another 3rd grader.

Really like one and two. Number 1 is marginally my favourite.:)
First one. Second is too dark for me.
