I had my F4 with the 14-24, 24-70, 105 , 80-200 and the 28-300. I used the 28-800 in my cruises and other travelling trips. It is sharp enough on my D 800 and I walk around with it. Since my age (80 ) does not enjoy long walking with this combination I switched to Sony RX 10 Mark III ( Zeiss lens 24-600 f 2.4 ), much lighter, faster and more reach ! You will like this Sony RX 10.

Is this lens better than the 24mm? Does it have a lot of distortion ? Thank you for your suggestion.

Thank you.
I agree with you on the choice of the 16-35mm even its aperture is not optimal .

Thank you for your helpful advices.I was thinking about the 14-24mm , but it's heavy and I can't use the polarizer.I might opt the 16-35 f4 even it's not better than the 14-24mm, but the range is more flexible.

I own a Nikon D800 and a Sony A6000 . I intend to travel and get pictures of landscapes. Which lenses do you suggest for these 2 cameras? I have Nikkor 24-70mm, 105mm, 28-300mm and Sony 55mm.
Thank you

I own and use both a D500 & a 105 Nikon macro. I REALLY like both of them. I shoot birds more than anything else though.

All things considered, I myself, would go for the D500 and then start looking for a used Nikon 105. They don't seem to be hard to find in excellent condition. I bought mine used in perfect condition from a lady here on the UHH. It could be considered as a simple matter of economics: A new D500 body will cost a great deal more than a used 105.

I own D800, 105mm,24-70mm 80-200mm and 28-300mm. The 105mm is very sharp for macro photography and the D500 is an excellent tool for wild life photography. You might need a 500mm later for birds ! Good luck.
