Not only Russian. A standard British Army test in the early days was to start a truck that was up against a wall and dead battery. The were taught to jack up a rear wheel, put it in top gear, and turn the wheel by hand.
I had to do this myself on an old Studebaker on a cold day in Canada.
It worked!

True story.
Many years ago when my parents were alive, my wife and I were staying in England with them on one of our trips over from the States.
We were in bed when mum and dad came in from the local pub, both a little under th weather!
Mum woke us up when she was in the bathroom which was next to our bedroom. She was in great distress and thowing up in the toilet.
Now wide awake we heard mum call to dad, " Jack, I've lost my teeth"
Dad went in the back garden and removed the manhole cover over the drain line......this was about midnight. From then on we heard dad calling up from the garden, " flush it again"
This happened several times un til finally we head dad call out "I've got em" We were in bed giggling fo a long time before we could get back to sleep!

As an RAF flight engineer/co-pilot on Lincoln bombers in early 50's. Twice a 500 lb bomb dropped off the hanger and rolled around on the bomb bay doors. we had to come back and land in that condition. Another time lost two engines on right wing on take of.....very dicey.

Just got a new Canon SX50 as a back up to my Sony NEX.
Now I have a new learning curve which is enough different to the Sony that it is hard to keep both sets of controls in my head at the same time.....I am old you know!
I bought a so called "Cheat Sheet" for the SX50, but all the items are small and hard to read....now I am very old!
I do see that they both have a an auto setting though so all is not lost!

*Stay Off Your Bicycle*

*My wife found out that our dog (a Schnauzer) could hardly hear, so she took it to the veterinarian. The vet found that the problem was hair in the dog's ears.
He cleaned both ears, and the dog could then hear fine. The vet then proceeded to tell Andrea that, if she wanted to keep this from recurring, she should go to the store and get some "Nair" hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once a month. *

*Andrea went to the store and bought some "Nair" hair remover. *

*At the register, the pharmacist told her, "If you're going to use this under your arms, don't use deodorant for a few days." *

*Andrea said, "I'm not using it under my arms." *

*The pharmacist said, "If you're using it on your legs, don't use body lotion for a couple of days." *

*Andrea replied, "I'm not using it on my legs either.
If you must know, I'm using it on my Schnauzer." *
*The pharmacist said, "Well, stay off your bicycle for at least a week.

I have used them many times on my trips to the UK.
The small black plug can be connected to the British three prong plug.
The ground in the Brit plug is not used.
This can be used to connect mosr US systems that are dual voltage. 110/220v

Subject: Amish Elevator

A fifteen year old Amish boy and his father were in a mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.

The boy asked, 'What is this Father?'

The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, 'Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life, I don't know what it is.'

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a fat old lady in a motorized cart moved up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened, and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the small numbers above the walls light up sequentially.

They continued to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began to light in the reverse order. The doors opened and a young blonde stepped out.

The father, not taking his eyes off the young woman, said quietly to his son.....

'Go get your Mother'
