You asked why not load the pix directly from my 7D to the New Ipad, I have done that but I read somewhere that it was not advisable to use the camera for dowloading pics. Therefore, I've be looking for a way to use a card reader.
Don't ask me where on the internet that I read this, I just know why I'm looking for another method to dowload a CF card. Maybe I'll have to trust the guy that has been doing it for 2 years.

Mithch, here is what I ordered from Amazon. CF Card Reader CF1 CF II Connection Kit For APPLE The New iPad. I won't get until late next week. After I get it I'll do a follow-up. Thanks, but no this does not work. I have the reader you're referring too and when I tried it my screen says device does not have enough power. Checking utube it is explaiined that I need a powered flash drive. I've ordered one ($19), and will be glad to let you know it works if anyone is interested.

I have the Apple card readers, but they do not accept the size of the compact flash card. Sorry I don't understand what you are telling me. Can you direct me to a site for and what I need to buy. Thanks.I

You don't list it as having IS, but the box shows it has IS. Is it an IS lens?????
