Do you think there is a problem with using F/22 for 35mm??

With all due respect, I kind of agree.. see below:

The image stabilization of the R7 + RF 100-400 is fantastic.

Also learn about Electroni First Curtain Shutter which helps avoid shutter shock. The R7 is a fantastic camera when you learn how to work around its limitations!

I guess when you have a defect and don't tell your customer it is covered up!

I don’t think it’s really a defect. It’s knowing the limitations of the camera. I believe all cameras will have certain limitations based on its specs and the low contrast with low light problem could be experienced with most low budget cameras.

The slow readout sensor has been experienced with rolling shutter problems in most DLSRs. I’ve learned something new to watch out for now going forward with new purchases! I’ve also learned from the video the workarounds to get the best from the R7. I’m glad canon explained these limitations and didn’t ignore them! People now know they don’t have a broken camera..

I'm getting tired of editing with my mouse and I have a few gift cards for birthday/Fathers Day, I'm looking at the following:

Wacom One (the old one not the new ones just announced)- refurbished or used
Huion Kamvas 13 and 13 Pro - new and refurbished
Huion Kamvas 12 and 12 Pro - new and refurbished
Xp Pen Artist 12 - new

Wacom seems to have a good reputation for refurbs; has any anyone had experience new or refurb with the Huion
or Xp Pens?

I'm trying to keep this $150 - $200. The joy of retirement.

Thank you for your help.

First of all I love my 80d. I shoot scenery, wildlife occasional sports and whatever is interesting at the time.
I have heard that the eye focus and the focus in general is much better on the mirrorless Canons than on my model.
I thought the R7 would be a step up cropped version of what I have.
That's why I'm asking for people to tell me how they like their R7s

It is a step up for what you shoot. The crop factor of the r7, resolution (crop factor), eye autofocus, 30 FPS, IBIS, and it uses the entire screen for focusing.
Since you shoot wildlife and sports then this is what I would want. You should at least rent one and see how you like it!

I got my R7 to obtain 2 main advantages, the improved focusing (eye focus) and the IBIS to minimize camera movement, both for better sharpness. I have not been disappointed.

Then there are additional benefits like seeing the exposure level while viewing either in the viewfinder or the back panel.

I own the R7 and R6. The eye focus, IBIS, and 30 FPS are game changers in number of keepers. The RF lenses outperform EF lenses in a large way... The EF to RF adapters will work flawlessly on your EF lenses.

MPB and KEH have trade in programs. Adorama also buys used equipment.

Thought I would add to this thread..

Pics are of sunrise on Waveland, MS beach. While there one morning the sky was so red, I had never seen a sky so red so I had to take these photos at the time..

Usually, my wife and I each have a backpack for our gear, but we are planning a trip to Scotland, and I want to condense everything into one bag. Below is a list of what we will be taking. Of course, it still needs to fit under the seat, if possible. I would like to stay under $250, but would go higher for the perfect bag.

R7
6D mkII
100-400
RF100-500
16-35

Maybe a second R7 if there is room.

Thanks, Mike

This is what I use and am very happy with it...

A friend of mine is trading up to an R6, but wants to keep the flash that he has, a Canon 430EX-II. He has asked me if it will work on the R6 and I told him I would ask the Hogs.

It should as my canon and Godox flashes work on mine..
