Well..."The Paradise" thing may be a little to much..."But Who Cares"???

Here are a few of my favorite shots from this fall.

I have a bad back, so I spend lots of time on my Aventon e-bike. With it I feel so free! This is my second Fall Season
on my bike and I have nearly 2000 miles on it. So you know I must like it.

For those that know me, know my Genre in the Art is Portraiture. So, the following shots are just me enjoying nature and the time alone. Just me, my camera, my bike... and the road!!!

I shot these over the present / past Fall - Summer - & Spring.

Camer: Nikon D750
Lens: Nikkor AF-S 28-300mm

Hope you enjoy these as I do.

Thanks,
Boone.

At 40 yds. I really thought it was a "Bird".

(Download)

I saw this on Rails 2 Trails, I thougt the people gave some sense of depthe to the shot.

(Download)

Saw this guy at about 30 feet...but I am sure he saw me first!

(Download)

This was on R2T. It was a mine car for the coal. In the 1860's this area was a main sourse for power in NY..and the Coke for Pitts. Steel. (Coke Ovens in rear)

(Download)

I liked the way that the Fawn behind it's mother is almost a mirriow image.

(Download)

I was stopped on my bike. There were 2 Fawns running right at me. I focused on the front one and he/she made this leap off of R2T 20 feet in front of me.

(Download)

I had to just stop and take this shot. It was a cloudy day, but fairly well lit. This was about 45 min. before sundown.

This shot was taken last week. I had no idea she was just 35yds. away. I stopped, and looked to my right and there she stood. I no not to eye ball animals, so I looked down, adjuted my lens to 300mm and fired away. When I left, she was still feeding!

I tried to clean my Sony A77v sensor without a cleaning kit, so I am wondering if I should get a professional cleaning done next time, so I can check to make sure I didn't mess my sensor up. I think the spots seem to be greatly reduced, and shouldn't affect my landscape photos, but haven't gone out yet. Test shots from before and after the cleaning.

I have used the "Vacuum Method" in the past. "But"...I got a handheld (Much like a hair dryer) vacuum/blower from Amazon with a "Hepa Filter" on the end. (came with the filters and pads) Not quite as powerful as a house vacuum, so the suction was perfect. I have to admit that I was somewhat frightened at first...but thought it trough and took the leap. I have never been disappointed yet!

I still use the regular cleaning kits to some extent.

I have a friend who works with these types of things (Sensors) and he just laughed and said..."I use one similar to that every day"!!! That made me more confident in my vacuum idea!

If your careful you can clean your own sensor. They are much stronger than you think.

Thanks,
Boone.

...thanks for the response, Boone. I've been a PS/LR user for as long as they've been around,so will pass on the PS Elements recommendation. What I'm asking is, if users see good improvement in ON! between the '23 and '24 versions (where I've been using ON! '23 as a plug-in).

Total difference of ON1 of before and now. The "New version" of ON1 is worth a look, I believe it is super!!!

That of course, is just my personal opinion.

Thanks,
Boone

Available in 8 days. I've been an ON1 user for years as an adjunct to Lightroom Classic. With this latest upgrade called ON1 Max, I'm finally migrating fully to it. Great stuff they are doing which, in turn, prompts folks like Adobe to speed up their improvements.

Anyone upgraded or bought-in? I have the 2023 version, it's not my primary editing software but comes in handy for a few things...wondering if the newest offers that much more?

Yes I have it, love it, use as my primary for Raw processing. And yes (IMO) Now is the time to get ON1. I also highly recommend, (Not that you asked for my recommendations) Photo Shop Elements.

Boone.

It doesn't matter how old your lenses are since you said you want to avoid adapters. So, you will be starting from scratch. Between Nikon and Canon, flip a coin. This thread will probably go on for pages with folks happy with either.

Since they are both good systems each tries to outdo the other. So if you can get to a camera shop and handle both brands, that is the way to go. Don't choose based on what somebody else likes or by what is in stock first. You don't have to decide today or tomorrow, you can wait until Thursday!

I couldn't agree with you more, as you have said it as well as it can be said! No matter what someone may add, I think you covered the Op's question as completely as one can. "NOW...I HOPE HE FOLLOWS YOUR ADVISE"!!!
