I lived in Prescott for many years and there are so many great photos that originate around that area. There was a movie made partly in Granite Dells and several others made in and around the city. There
are some very interesting stories told about this part of Arizona. Prescott was the first capital of the state.
Great place, great people. Go there on the fourth of July and take your camera.
I'm reminded of the old saying: I remember F-1 when the tires were skinny and the drivers were fat.
The arrogance at Apple amazes me. They have a fine product but their manners need an overhaul. Above
on this thread Jerry 41 wrote re: Tracphone. The rates are inexpensive and price on phones are great. I
purchased a new Samsung for $200 and have used it a year and I am very happy. My use may not be heavy because I have a life not centered on my phone but my total operating cost for the whole year is lower than one month with my previous provider and the camera on my current device is excellent.
For years my favorite coffee was Seattles Best, from the Alley near Pike Street Market. Starbucks purchased
the brand and now it seems not so good in spite of the assurance that no changes were made. The Keurig
system is attractive because of it's convenience, so I lower my standards and drink a not so great cup two
times a day.
This does not work well with sky diving either.
My father used say, "that guy would complain if he was hung with a new rope".
The museum is a truly magical place. We visited often in the 42 years we lived in Az, especially the time in
Tucson. Our most memorable experience was when a roadrunner in the wild tried diligently to join his
mates in the enclosure.

I always thought we needed to drink more beer. Coors is not just for breakfast anymore.
Blame marketing for the smaller size and the higher price. Marketing's job is to give us less and charge
us more thus increasing profits, the holy grail of corporate America. Oh! I am cynical, but big business started it. I try to purchase from local small business, but it's not always possible to meet all our needs
with this game plan. Aw well.
I find it nearly impossible to go anywhere near Mt. Rainier and not take a picture. I grew up in Yakima Wa
about 100 miles east of Rainier, and I now live on Greys Harbor about 115 West and on a clear day I can
see the mountain from either location. As we say locally "the mountain is out".
I first visited Haystack Rock the Summer of 1952 with my new driver's permit in my pocket. My best friend
and I parked our car and walked out to see Haystack up close and personal. I have returned many times
but never walked out again. This whole area is awesome, easy to get to, and a photographer's delight.
These cars revive many great memories for me. Keep the pictures coming.
We had a 1938 LaSalle. What a great road car, quiet and comfortable.
I live on the second road from the end of the world and I still great service from UPS and USPS, Fed-Ex not so much. Merry Christmas to all of you.
