Since my wife has been home hospital and recovering there's been a lot of tv watching.
After a while watching the so called comedy sitcoms, there are a lot of arguments in these shows.
It's more soothing watching matrix.

Cheers is a good show. I look for more shows

There's a bunch of them!
Many are run on PBS, and a bunch have not been broadcast for a long time-
Waiting for God
Open All Hours
Haven't seen Faulty Towers in a long time either.
...

My favorite is As Time Goes By.
(Special meaning for that one.)

The Vicar of Dibley is hilarious!

Summer Wine (I think) is another.

My wife is hooked on a show called Sweet Magnolias. It is quite entertaining and streams from Netflix. You need to start at episode 1 to get the full picture.

If the only two you have ever watched are “Cheers” and “MASH,” how do you remember the fights in “I Love Lucy?”

Sorry--couldn’t resist.

No offense.

The Australian TV shows we watched were Dr. Blake Mysteries and Wanted.

Yes, there are more arguments on TV than in real life. In 47 years of marriage, my wife and I never had a TV-style argument. I just sat there quietly while she told me what was wrong with me.
