I like the angle of # 3 the best but the horizon needs to be straightened a tiny bit.

Unnecessary comment Larrie. I l already addressed that issue, and I certainly don't need you to point it out again. Seems like you miss what is really important in life. Perhaps you should try to find it.

That's not insulting.. Yes, i did. Beautiful and sharp as a tack. (I used my 7D and 24-70L lens) I finally got in touch with them and they said what I am seeing is "grain". They said it was the paper. They are going to reprint on smooth paper. I am impressed that they are going to do that for me, they are even shipping to me overnight. However, that is one strange company, customer service only via e-mail? It is very odd to me. I am not sure I will use them again. I hope the new ones look better. I should have stuck with Sam's Club. I am always impressed with the quality of the prints for the cheap money. Thanks

Thanks, I always use Sams Club and have always been pleased. I should have stuck with them. I just wanted more options for my holiday card. Live and learn is all I can say. Thanks.

Hi, I just received my Christmas Card order from Mpix. ( I will leave out how I paid 7.95 for priority mail and got the order in 7 days) Anyway, I was really expecting something great. The card has 3 photos of my daughter on them and the photos look very pixated. (is that how you spell that)? I thought for the price, (around $1.50 a card) that they would be beautiful. I am very disappointed in the quality. The jpegs that i sent where very high beautiful quality. They do not have a phone number and all corresponding is done via e-mail which is very strange. It may perhaps be the card stock paper they use. But the only choice is that or glossy. I was hoping for something smooth like one of the choices Millers has. Does anyone have any experience with this lab? I think it looks like a zerox copy of my photos. I am hoping they will help make it right but not much time left. thanks for listening to me complain.

Wow, I can't take my eyes off of #2. Beautiful! I hope you are not like me and leave beautiful photos sitting in your computer. You need to print it and hang it!

Hi, this is my cutie patootie. I am wondering if the catch light is in the correct place in her eyes. I always thought it should be on the pupil. This shows a tiny white dot in the center and the catch light on her iris. Not sure if that is correct. I used a speedlite off camera with an umbrella diagonally to her left.

you can go to best buy and get a star filter. They have a 4, 6 & 8 point filter. They are $20.00. They come in different sizes for different lenses.

I think the photo needs to be straightened. It is a strange angle, so the lake looks like it is sloping to the left. I would fix that before I fix anything else. A tilted horizon really bothers me personally unless it is done dramatically. Otherwise, I think this photo is totally fixable and will work fine for a christmas card.

They are very beautiful shots! The only thing i would do, is straighten the horizon a tiny bit in the first shot. Then frame it and hang it!

I never knew there were other sections of this forum! I just discovered the section where one could subscribe or unsubscribe to other sections. I am feeling silly, and not sure if any other members are as clueless as myself but thought I would mention it. thanks.
