This bird is known as an American Robin - but is actually a member of the Thrush family (turdus migratorius)

Glad you liked the little guy. If you come to Florida let me know, I can usually find these little guys and I would be happy to be your guide.

Thanks - I most certainly will take you up on that if the opportunity arises!

Very good, looks like a great little camera and great detail. For some quick test shots these are sharp and good color. Post more as you get used to the camera and see what it can fully do.

Thanks - I have only just recently decided to get serious about photography although I have been snapping away for a while but had not the faintest idea what I was doing. I have been a devout birdwatcher for many years and sadly now live in the Uk after a lifetime in Africa.

Hi Guys,

I need some comments and feedback. I took these photos of Eurasian Collared Doves and wood pigeon under very grey skies. I shot on Auto so no manipulation and would like some constructive feedback. I would be interested to see what people can do with these pictures.

I have copied this across from a different part of the forum following suggestions from other user thank you.

From top to bottom
The first two could be female Hooded Orioles,
The next two are Northern Mockingbirds
and the last is possibly a male hooded Oriole.
