I think it sounds like a great idea. A good motivator to get me out shooting more often. Don't know if I can do a daily pic but count me in and I'll do my best to keep up.
tomfr raises a good point. I belonged to a writing group and each of us would state what we were looking to improve, i.e., structure, character, dialogue, etc. We were very specific in what we wanted from the critiques.
I just bought the Canon SX 40 and it takes great pics.
Venice Beach is awesome. West Hollywood. If you go further south to San Diego you'll find Balboa Park - beautiful - and the world famous San Diego zoo.
Gorgeous! What camera and lens did you use?
Thanks to everyone for your help. I'm using TV mode and there's plenty of light. I'll try AV or P mode and see what happens. Thanks again!
I'm using a Canon 7D. I'm trying to freeze the action, setting the shutter speed at 1000 and ISO at 400. For some reason the shutter speed goes back to 250 and I'm not getting the shot I need. What am I doing wrong?
Yes, I was using a flash and the mode was set at TV.
Hello all,
My question is this: I'm using the Canon 7D. I wanted to take some action shots freezing the motion. I set the shutter speed at 1000, yet when I went to edit the photos I noticed the shutter speed was set at 250. What happened?
