As a newcomer to the Hog the only thing i ever did to my photographs was crop (thanks to uhh i do a bit more now)but what i did was to achieve an end product that satisfied me, the photographs on this thread were all of real engines as far as im concerned,lovely pics.

My wife was diagnosed with cancer and died in 1989 i made a promise to myself that I wouldnt smoke till she did, she never did smoke again and i have kept my promise.

THAT jogged the grey matter i was on New Street Station when the Brit cruised in and it shone, we also were allowed to cab,as you say heaven,never owned my first camera till i was 20 then my next when i was in my 60s a Olympus and now a Sony a200 just wish i had discovered photography years ago.

Hi and welcome im just up the road from you about 8 miles from Wolverhampton, like the engine, from my trainspotting days i remember this as a namer (name on side of engine)could be a semi (slang description of engine)could be named after a City??

Im very much a recent photographer (2009)and other than the total rubbish which is quickly deleted I keep the great majority of mine which i go back to now and again and see how i have improved since i first started those are examined and cropped further left or deleted

Im from England and have spent a lot of time just reading a lot of the posts,the technical jargon goes over my head i try but fail to understand. I rarely use a tripod just take freehand with varying amounts of success, no matter how they turn out I try to enjoy each trip.
