Colorado elk come down to lower altitudes during the fall, giving photographers a great chance for closeup shots. Here are some I took recently.

WeTransfer is also available. I have used both and have come to favor WeTransfer.

Why does a picture have to tell a story? Why can't a picture simply be a picture. Just because there's no story behind a picture doesn't make it bland and boring. Not all photography is photo journalism.

I agree. I was a photojournalist for 40 years wherein I needed often to tell a story, but I never felt every picture I took was required to. Sometimes, as the saying goes, "a cigar is just a cigar." No need to psychoanalyze every image ever recorded.

I was a newspaper photographer. I didn't go so far as to carry a change of clothes in my car, but I did wear a tie and jacket. One assignment could take me to a fire, and the very next to the carpeted office of the president of Caterpillar. I figured it was better to be overdressed for the fire than underdressed for the Caterpillar office. But it didn't get me very far with the newspaper management. One day the managing editor asked me who I thought I was by dressing the way I did. I was the oldest on the staff of eight. The young guys (and gals) wore blujeans.
