I agree with Thomas, that Photomatix does amazing work. But here's a different thought for you. Try switching over Affinity Photo. Inexpensive, one time fee, and free updates. Okay, enough with the commercial, and I don't work for them either. Back to the 'story' ... Affinity Photo has a HDR feature built into it. And there are free trial offerings.

BTW, to return a favor to my fellow UHH, I've purchased a CPR Call Blocker, and have been using it for about three years now on our landline. In addition to the thousands of 'known Robo Callers' they know about, the device has a big red stopsign shaped button. My outgoing messages inform them of the Call Blocker, and also (my lie) tells them if they do NOT leave a message, their number is automatically added to this block list. Actually a new call number, I simply let the call go to their completion without answering it. Then I check for voice mail. IF no message, I click two buttons and their number is added to the block call list. When they try again, the phone rings once, but no more. The robo calls have dropped dramatically.

I noticed the subscription idea for white pages. I don't need it that badly.

I do wish we could get a local landline phone directory. I also wish I could run a phone number backwards to learn who the robo caller might be.

We have made many European trips, and read of the risk of taking a good camera. I've taken my Canon 5DII each time, and never had a worry. I still kept an eye out for people around me, but never felt any threats.

You have just given me an idea. When I use my Sigma 8mm with my 5Dii, I to capture a very large circle. However, since you said you have a less-than-full frame, you capture a rectangle image. So, thank to you, I've pulled out my retired Canon 20D body, which I'm sure is less than full frame, and perhaps the 8mm will capture a rectangular image on the 20D. I've put batteries on the charge first, so that I can power up the 20D. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Photography is meant to be creative. Your fisheye 8mm gives a very creative result. I assume you have cropped the center of the image in order to achieve a traditional rectangular image?

I'm glad to hear Jerry that I am not the only one still wearing a mask, a KN95 or a KN94 in my case. Detacron is very much active, both in Europe and the US on each coast. Shanghai has switched to total lockdown. So it isn't over yet.

NO, the absolute worse is incompetent USPS. I received a box from Amazon, and the lid was 80% pulled open, and the opposite corner was bashed in. Now, it gets worse. How do we know USPS should be put out of business? There were two items in the box I never ordered. An electric shaver, a cheap one. And a .... ready for this? ... a script for a vet intended for a patient/dog. The box with the script had the name and phone number so I called the vet and was they they have been looking for it since it is very much needed for a dog. So they came over to the house and picked up the the script. So """"wonderful"""" USPS not only tore open the box, but then stuffed things in there from who-know-where. I've reported this to Amazon, and they have initiated an order so no more of our orders are to be shipped by USPS. Oh, an unusual event? In our neighborhood, we will receive mail that does not belong to us, at least once a week. Suggest, who has our mail? This is ongoing, every week of every month. This was enough for us to switch everything over to Paperless so the USPS can no longer harm us.

Why are they still in business?

Srg, the Internet. The 1,000 choices I learned the first time I fired up my Internet radio were in the classical music genre. I have to think that every other genre will have thousands of choices, station from all over the world.

Enjoy.,

srt, and others. www.classicfm.com is without a doubt the best classical music station, and also majors in light classical music and film scores.

I want to reinforce srt's comments about Internet Radio. St. Louis used to have an outstanding classical music station, but unfortunately was sold. So we purchased a Grace Digital Internet tuner, and found more than 1,000 stations offered. Lucky break for us, for we found a station www.classicfm.com in London. It is so outstanding, it is only 24/7/365 here. Others here may find great job in looking into Internet radios. There is actually a Grace Digital stand-along radio, like a table radio. When connected to your Wifi, you can access all of those 1,000 stations.

But don't get cocky like me. When I first installed our Internet Radio, I decided to tune in a classical music station in Vienna. Hey, after all, it's kind of a ""home"" of classical music. I quickly learned how cocky I was when the first piece of music was back-announded, and the announcer was speaking Austrian German. lol
