Great shot, beautiful eyes and lots of sophisticated character. Good cropping, but the sharp definition of the bright light is a bit distracting. Would it have been better to be a little softer and diffused?
Nice exposure, focus - DoF - and composition on #1, a real winner! The dark background helped a great deal. Did you use a black card?
