I'm only 75 but oh yes, I remember! I used to get my little butt warmed on occasion when I would take a teaspoon and scoop the cream off the top of the bottle before mom got it for her coffee. It was wonderful! Well worth the spanking.

As a fifth grader we had small milk bottles served with lunch that had a paper pull tab. Underneath that tab was a small bit of that cream you mentioned. I'll never forget how good it was to take the first sip. A local lady came to the school everyday to fix lunch for the approximate 40-50 kids in 1st to 8th grades.
WOW!!
Thanks everyone for showing what wonderful memories we all had.

I remember going to McDonalds after school when I was a teen paying 15 cents each for burgers and fries. Here is a post from a blog with a menu photo.

I used to hang at the first McDonalds in Des Plaines, Illinois in the 50s and watched the workers in the back pour potatoes into a round potato peeling machine. Those were the best fries and yep, only 15 cents.

As I understand it the EU law is not that websites must place advertising cookies on your PC. The EU law is that IF websites use cookies (and almost all do without you knowing here in the US) then you must be told and have the option to opt-in or out. Thanks for the explanation. I also was not going to read the article due to the disclaimer. Now I will.

Recommendations please on where to send slides to have them converted to digital format

I used Scan Cafe and too many of the digitized images came back way darker than the originals. I can only use (view) about half of the ones converted. Plus the fact they sent them off to India to get digitized and it took way too long to get them back I would look elsewhere for that service.
I found that when you get a digitized image back after their being gone for 4-6 weeks and having no one to really explain what the problem is/was, then having someplace like Costco maybe a faster and easier solution to get digitized slides. IMHO.

Thanks to all who responded to my wifes problem of moving the photos.
It seems that none of the suggested solutions worked and she tried them all.
What we ended up doing was for her to send me the e-mail with the photos attached to my Mac. When I opened each photo in Google drive it showed a symbol that allowed me to move the photos to my Google drive account. Why that symbol didn't show up on her I-pad is what seems to be the main problem. Anyway, after moving all 15 photos to my google account I was able to 'share' the photos to an e-mail which I sent to her I-pad and she was then able to put them into her I photo account.
It was a convoluted way of getting around the fact that her I-pad didn't show the symbol for Google photos when each photo was opened. This would have allowed sharing when each photo was opened.
We had to transfer the photos to my Mac and then I sent them back to her I-pad in an e-mail.
There must be some better way but we couldn't find it.
Thanks again to all who sent suggestions.

Help.
Our granddaughter sent my wife an e-mail with 15 photos from Google Drive. They are wedding photographs. My wife would like to have them easily viewable on her I-pad to show her friends. I can't find anything on the internet telling how to transfer the Google Drive photos to Apple photos.
Can anyone help?

Thanks Mark,

Thanks for starting the day out so nicely. The dogs are great and you can see they are enjoying themselves.

She's my new girlfriend.
Anyone that can teach dogs all those tricks and can also throw a frisbee farther than I can see, is my kind of girl.

In the second paragraph of the GIMP site they say it is applicable for the OS X system in addition to the Windows versions.

Hi TexasLynn
Nice name BTW.

Before you go it would be helpful to ask your guiding company where exactly you will be camping on Vancouver Island, BC.

While working up on Vancouver Island I found the island was covered with fishing and hunting lodges. If you weren't aware of them you could be a half mile away from them and would never know it. We used to have logging camps up on the island and we would be just over a hill from a fishing lodge but the lodges wouldn't let there clients know about our logging camp which had 30-50 people living there for months at a time. They wanted to promote the wilderness adventure.

So, the reason I'm saying this is you may have easy access to electricity if your guide service wants to be helpful. Have them give you a detailed map of exactly where you'll be camping each night.

You also can't eat any better than at one of the bush camps. In an emergency of course.

Thanks for the camera info. Really nice photos you posted.
I'm on my way to pick up that Browning today.

Surprised to see that your foxes look to be about twice the size of the ones at my place. I didn't realize ours were so small. If I get a good picture of one, I'll post it to you.

I like the detail in your trail camera pics. The cameras I now use (Moultrie and Stealth cam) do not give that clarity. What model of Browning is it?
I have to get myself one.
Thanks

Almost all sunglasses sold now have 100% UV protection. But UV rays can be reflected from the back of the lens to the eye so get anti-reflection coated lenses and lenses which have broad coverage from the side.

Thanks berchman, thats very helpful and are things we'll look for when buying sunglasses.
