I'll check it out. Is it full-frame? Thanks!

It's from a 35mm Nikon N80 film camera kit from years ago. Yes, that makes it a full frame.

This lens might be a good option for you if you can find one. It came with my N80 35mm way back when but works nicely even now.

It's plastic, yes, but it's light as a feather...good luck.

I have the G lens, G means there's no aperture ring, camera must set the aperture. Your camera can do that, yes? According to the Nikon site there's no non-G version.

At the time the legislators did away the the death penalty in CT in 2012, they made it so it applied to future cases, leaving the 11 existing on death row to be executed. At the time I believe 56% of CT residents supported the death penalty, and the memory of the horrific Cheshire home invasion that killed Dr. Petit's wife and 2 daughters was fresh in everyones mind. The killers were caught red-handed, no questions whatsoever remained. Now that a few years have passed, CT did what it wanted to do in the fist place. Time to move.

I watched the opening shots and immediately recognized the SX70 collapsing camera, I had one just like it. It did suffer it's own 'shutter lag' of sorts. I suppose it worked somewhat like a SLR in that the viewfinder looked out the main lens at the front via a mirror inside. Push the shutter and the viewfinder would go black as the mirror flipped out of the way to expose the film. Didn't work too good with wildlife, I took many an empty photo of what had been a squirrel or bird.

I remember Jim Bob started a topic a few months back, something like FX vs DX or whatever. Well, that thread went on for I believe over 30-40 pages with zings, pokes, sarcasm, you name it. Every other post by Jim Bob himself. He's just a kid with a stick looking for a hornets nest. Don't play his game, I have never seen an actual positive response by him, now I suppose I need to sit back and wait for his attack at me.

Sandisk is generally considered to be one of the best. I have never had a problem with any of mine. Most any of their current cards should meet your needs. You realize that your camera will only shoot just under 30 min of video before you have to shut it down and start over, don't you. I assume you can just shut off the video feature and then restart it. There may be more to it then that. I don't shoot video. The restriction is common to all DSLRs so that they don't get classified as video cameras. Import duties, I believe.
To get maximum speed out of any SD card do an in-camera format and be sure to check the box marked "Low Format". Because of the way info is written to an SD card they perform better that way.

I believe the limitation is due to the file system used on the SD cards. FAT or extended FAT limits a single file to 4 gigabytes. The video format (HD, full HD etc.) will determine how many minutes will fill up the 4 gigs. The NTFS file system overcomes that 4gb limitation.

I don't see where your D80 can perform 'Interval Timer Photography'. My D5100 can be set with a 'start time', 'time interval', and 'number of intervals'. I used this to make a time lapse video of our bathroom remodel job. I made the video with Windows Movie Maker at 8 FPS.

I purchased probably the exact same thing from a different online store, I opened the box and the shiny new wide angle adapter was the only thing in the box. Nothing but the lens. I built a little mounting box to hold my D5100 positioned so I could take a time lapse of our bathroom remodel job, day 1 went fine but the battery quit about 4pm, so I turned off autofocus for day 2 but a worker bumped the camera and sent it out of focus. Day 3 they clamped their portable work light right in front of my camera, all I got then was 420 shots of the backside of the light. By day 4 I had kind of lost interest. Oh, the lens probably increased my field of view or whatever you call it by about 8 inches at 8 feet.

When I purchased my d5100 kit at my local wholesale club I bought a 32gb H something (High Capacity? High Speed?) SD card along with it. Camera wouldn't recognize it. I took the card back and they exchanged it for me, same problem. I put that new SD card in my netbook and it worked, no problem. Then I used an older SD card in the camera and it's been working fine ever since. I don't know if this could be your problem too.
