Ray, I also noticed that you are very proud of posting a lot in UHH. In fact, your published total is above 4100. That's pretty impressive for what, 5 months. That's a higher average than most anyone else. Doesn't anyone near you want to talk to you anymore. Its hard to understand why no one would be thrilled to be a close personal friend of yours.
I read your reply to cat treasure. If anyone sounds ignorant, sir, it is you. You said you were in Viet and in the artillery. Anyone would know we carried m16s, what did we carry prior to that. If you were really in artillery then you would obviously know what the firing order of the 105 is. I would expect you would be able to answer that within a few minutes, that is if you were really there. Lastly before trying to discredit cat treasure about the amount of posts she has made in the last whatever months, maybe you should have noticed that she as well as me have only recently joined UHH. Somehow, I hope there is more to this than what was described. But if the problem stands as stated, then why would I want to support anyone in the future who Obama supports after he is out of office. Anyone who has served knows that chaplains are often found where fighting is the worst. All chaplains must be trained in the needs of all faiths. They administer to everyone who requests help. When a Priest is not available, a protestant service is available. By the way, I am a Catholic. So the requirements of the faith are fulfilled. What many might ask is why didn't the other faith ministers boycott performing services in protest. Remember those other ministers are still military and under orders to perform their duty. Who said, first they came for the jews, but I wasn't one so I didn't care,......, then they came for me. And there was no one left.
Thanks Mt. I realize that, but I really would like your opinion regarding if the upgrade would be worth the expense. Would I be gaining that much by upgrading. would using a flash with a non d model be that much worse than on a d model.
I need your opinion regarding upgrading my two prime lenses. I have for years used and enjoyed my 50 1.4 and 85 1.8 Nikon lenses. They work great when I can't use a flash. I've read that the d or g equivalents are the way to go now. I love what a prime can do in low light. My question is would I be gaining that much by upgrading. I shoot a D700. I have 2.8 zoom lenses I can use if I am allowed to use a flash. I'm new to the Hog, not a pro, but a little better than average. Thanks for your opinions.
you are quite correct. they are giant puff balls. they are one of the unmistakable mushrooms found this time of the year. Usually fried up with butter, because alone they have very little taste, only texture. Used in salads similar to using tofu after being fried. never pick all the mushrooms from an area. some must be left for a few to dry out and spread their spors for next years crop. Puff balls come in all sizes and shades of white. However when they are too old, they form hard shells and dry out on the inside.
I believe the name of the mushroom is a shaggy mane. However, no one can identify a mushroom 100% by pictures alone. Consideration must be given to the time of year, location, soil type, and spore printing when necessary. If it is a shaggy mane, it is a very tasty rich tasting mushroom which should not be eaten in excess. when left in the field it turns black and takes on its other name, and inky mane. Now non edible. If frozen in its early stages without first being blanched, it will continue to self dissolve in the frozen state until nothing but a glob of black goo is left. hope this helps. Picking and eating mushrooms is not for the uninformed. One rule of thumb is that the prettiest is the most poison.
