A pelican was swimming around the front and the gator jumped out and just missed him while I was there. Wish I had my camera focused on that but it was so quick.

After a lot of research, I bought the contemporary, mostly because I wanted to hand hold. Watch these review videos, not a huge difference in the contemporary vs. sports unless you are going to be out in bad weather.

Beautiful series. I just shot a kestrel for the first time this morning while visiting my brother in Utah. One hangs around his house every morning. Hopefully I can get some great shots like yours.
