I find it interesting that cordless tools cost more than the corded versions. With hand tools, there is an electric motor, either 120v or 18v. With lawnmowers, the internal combustion engine is replaced with an electric motor. I wonder if they're charging for the convenience, or if there is a legitimate reason for the price difference.

Greenway plug-in mower - $119; battery version - $279
DeWalt 7 1/2" circular saw plug-in - $116 with tool bag; battery version $168

Is that price, with or without the battery?

I have opened my 8" Kindle to replace the battery. You just pry it open, if memory serves, the back comes off.

Try VueScan, it covers a lot of printers. I have been using the Pro version for many years.

Who switched it and why? No opinions about Farmers, but they do have clever commercials.

I have read rumors that the i7 may become acceptable to Win 11, and has been a simple omission.

I have a laptop, less than 2 years old and a 3 year old desktop that don't meet Win 11 'spec' due to the processor. I certainly won't be replacing either any time soon, but from what I see there isn't that much wonderful about 11 anyway.

I suspect there are a number of people in the same situation.

I have heard that the only i7 to meet Win 11 specs are the 8th generation and above. I unfortunately have the i7 third generation. Having been in the MS beta programs and Insider group, I have tried the Win 11 and it installed on my 3rd generation i7, even though it didn't pass the specs test. I reverted to Win 10 because I don't think the official released version of Win 11 will be compatible.

I'd be concerned about fumes and smoking. Tanks weren't totally sealed like today's tanks.

The filler neck and cap was outside the cab. At that time in my life I was a smoker and young, I never gave it a seconds thought. The good old days.

I had a 1964 Chev pickup that had the gas tank right behind the seat inside the cab!

I'm in the windows insider program and even though my current PC won't pass the Windows 11 qualifications it did install and I used it for a couple of weeks. I reverted to Windows 10 because I suspect it will tell me that I can't run Windows 11 when it is officially available. Probably will get a newer PC. I did run Photoshop C6, Lightroom 5.1 and ON1 didn't notice any problems.

Château Frontenac is one of many fine hotels built in the late 1800s and early 1900s by Canadian Pacific, Canadian National and Grand Truck Railways. Others are Château Laurier in Ottawa, Royal York in Toronto, Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta and The Empress in Victoria, B.C. There are more, but those are the ones that come to mind. Canadian Pacific bought the Fairmont brand in 1999 and now most have Fairmont attached to their name. I have stayed at Chateau Laurier, Royal York, Banff Springs and visited The Empress for Afternoon Tea and each was worth the time and expense. Truly magnificent structures in a period of a different era.

At a yard sale in my community there was a Kodak Carousel Projector in the original box and 6 140 slide trays in original boxes for $10 dollars. I resisted, mainly because my wife was with me. I couldn't get it out of my mind so went back when the sale was supposed to be over. Still there. Owner says take it for $5 and we have more 140 trays if you want them. I now have 2 projectors and ??? trays, I said no thanks to the extra trays. Some how my wife thinks that I am a hoarder, when it's obvious that I am a collector of fine things. Every once in awhile I will set up a slide show of family photos which my daughter loves to watch so that is my rationale for all of this. She says it is much better than viewing on the TV.
