Leaving from Springfield is certainly better than Richmond, but if you’ll be heading north to Reagan anytime between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, the better bet is to keep driving the night before and continue to Crystal City. Tons of hotels and it puts you 5 minutes from DCA. Springfield to DCA in the morning is miserable, since you’re in the middle of traffic headed to both DC and the Pentagon, plus there are HOV restrictions on the northern part of I-395. Just my two cents...

Super set CE. You know, if and when you retire. you'll have a lot more time to jump on these challenges. Just say'n from one ce to another.
"Retirement." I've heard talk of this elusive concept before, but with two young kids to put through college in a decade or so, I can't even imagine the camera technology we'll be using when that happy day comes.

These are fantastic. As a civil engineer you are likely "tuned in" to circles...The fish farm looks like a bunch of hula hoops floating in the sea.
Thanks. Working in engineering and architecture, you're correct that you start seeing things (though often related to lack of sleep!).
Since I'm completely slammed over the next few days, I won't have time to do any photo walks, so I'll stretch the "around the home" part to include the photos on my laptop (though some are only a few days old). Here's an eclectic mix:
