An article titled "Seeing in Circles", states that circles in the mechanical world are strong, supportive structures (like the stone arched bridges some posted in previous challenge). Compositionally, a circle draws the eye into the middle of the frame. A circle suggests security and finite limits, yet despite the strength of the circle it can also offer a look that is soft, organic, and inviting. For this challenge, actively look for circles and photograph them. When you train your focus, attention and eye on one thing you will see more of them than ever before. For the next 3 challenge days, take a walk and see how many circles you can find. Or..how many can you find around your home.
Circles in Nature
Circular gear shift
Circles in a candy jar
Since I'm completely slammed over the next few days, I won't have time to do any photo walks, so I'll stretch the "around the home" part to include the photos on my laptop (though some are only a few days old). Here's an eclectic mix:

These are fantastic. As a civil engineer you are likely "tuned in" to circles...The fish farm looks like a bunch of hula hoops floating in the sea.

Thanks. Working in engineering and architecture, you're correct that you start seeing things (though often related to lack of sleep!).

Yeah - nurses and mothers can "see" things for the same reasons!!
several man made and natural round things
Well circles define limits like you said and also within these limits there are/can be why there is a circle around these compnents... uhhh not really walking the line here maybe but I wanted to try this...
OK, my folly is done......back to normalcy if there is one

Yes - that's one way to challenge yourself - make that circle and "see what you can see" within it. Nice job.

The circles really do demand the eye's attention.
Folks, I am having trouble with internet connections today. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Keep posting and I'll check when I can.
