Very nice. I like how you incorporated temples with the hydrangeas to show the Japanese style gardens.

We also have hydrangeas blooming from May (oakleaf), June (macrophylla), and July (paniculata) here in the states. Mine are very lovely this year. Here are a few this month (and last year).

The diversity of trees is staggering. I bought a photo book on trees around the world a few years ago from baobabs in Madagascar and Africa to redwoods in California. Great photos of wonderful specimens.

Here is a Ceiba tree full of air plants (Tillandsia) in Guatemala next to a very tall Mayan temple in Tikal (Feb, 2006)

And an unknown tree taking over the ruins in Angkor, Cambodia (June 2018). Not Angkor Wat but an older smaller temple close to Angkor Wat.

It would be much cooler in the trunk than the inside of the car as the windows act like a super heated greenhouse. When I buy plants I find that leaving them inside the car is worse than putting them in the trunk for hours. The sun-screens/shields that a lot of folks put in their windows would block a lot of UV/IR rays but also a pain to put up/take down.

I also hate the idea of leaving valuables inside a car for very long but sometimes you just have to do it for a lunch break, etc.

I tried topics when I started out back in 2000, but it became too large to handle (same subject over several years was hard to give unique names and I might have thousands of files in one folder!)

I then moved to daily folders - much easier to maintain for me and searching could be done on a daily file, a month, a year, or all years. I have not jumped on the LR organizational bandwagon as I prefer to download my files manually.

Whichever way you go, choose one that works best for you.

Just got a new wife a couple years ago. She was Apple and I was Android. When my plan was up I switched to an iPhone. In general I like it. There are some differences that are annoying (Android could move the icons around anywhere (limited to specific spots, but you could leave a spot empty)). Apple needs to have all the icons in a wrapped row (no empty spots except at the bottom of the screen). That was annoying because my background picture is messed up with an icon covering important details. Not really a big deal, just an annoyance.

But when I had the Android, texts between Android and Apple sometimes took 24 hours to go through. Definitely not useful when I'm trying to get a message to her.

She's Mac and I'm PC. (The computer PC, not the social one). But we use the phones for communication, not the laptops.

Including the iPhones, there are 10 computers in the house between the 2 of us (5 each).
(Not including the oven, the toaster, the microwave, the refrigerator, the lamp controllers, the washer and dryer, the irrigation system, the rice cooker, the can opener, various Bluetooth devices, and, of course all my cameras).

We had that problem years ago when we were both Apple and our daughter too (she was on the family plan). When I switched to Samsung at the next upgrade cycle, the texts between us were very slow. I found out that Apple keeps their own internal database of iPhone users on Apple's servers and does the texting between users (bypassing the phone company once the messages leave their servers). They made the bad assumption that once an iPhone user, always an iPhone user. I cannot remember how this was resolved - we had to contact Apple or our phone provider to get texting up to speed (i.e get my name/number removed from Apple World). Then a couple more years go by and our daughter moves to Samsung and we repeat the same process. GRRRR! Shame on Apple?

The phone camera has come a very long way in a short time. It is always with me and does a good job in normal situations. The two dislikes was the zoom feature as it falls apart when zoomed out as far as it would go (Note 8 10X) but my newest phone - just got it in the mail yesterday (S20 Ultra 5G) has a 100x zoom feature that I hope to test today on our hike (turtles in the middle of the river sunning themselves that my super-zoom Canon SX60 could get some good detail on a tripod).

The other thing I don't like about a phone camera are the controls as they are all "soft controls on the screen" and the grip is awkward for holding by one hand while the other hand is used for reference or steadying a plant or a small animal such as a baby box turtle. I know I should familiarize myself with all the controls but if I was in a rush to get a photo of something I want to swipe the camera control and start taking pictures ASAP.

I won't give up my DSLR or compacts or GoPro but I find I use them less and less as time goes by.

Please don't take this wrong - no harm intended. The LG Rebel 4 is very low-end phone with a mediocre camera. Images that might look acceptable on the phone will not look good on a larger monitor. The issue is not with your with your transfer - it is with the original images.

Isn't any image better than none? Also to get the images off the phone to free up space is a good thing. I use my phone more and more to document things around the yard, in public spaces, and on my hiking treks so I like to get them off my phone and backed up on my computer almost daily.

I took a photo of a woman exiting Hobby Lobby with two Chihuahuas dressed with tiny hats and vests a lifetime ago. One was on her shoulder and the other was under her other arm and she may have been wearing a similar outfit. The phone I had way back then was a Motorola flip phone with a teeny tiny camera. I snapped off a picture (probably one of the very few I ever did on that phone) but to me the photo was priceless to show friends and family the things you see in public.

Wow, lots of answers there and most answers are correct in that the easiest way is to connect your phone to your computer and transfer the files from the phone to your desired location.

If I am logged into my phone (Note 8+) then I get a prompt to allow or deny access on the phone. I answer Allow and a folder pops up on my laptop with the phone folder opened. I then navigate to DCIM and click on Camera (and any other folder I want to copy) and then do a cut. I navigate to the location on my first external drive I want to move the camera folder to. After the transfer I name the folder and all the images too. I may run LR at that time and a few other tasks but it is all fairly easy as a pie.

I bought a LG USB DVD reader/writer at Best Buy a few years ago for around $30. There were many different brand names and prices. DVDs and CDs seem to have disappeared like everything else.

I keep all my photos on 3 external drives (2 identical 4TB USB and 1 3TB NAS). I found years ago that I have to organize my photos for easy access and searches so I came up with my own system how I wanted it to look (I do Drive:\photos\year\month\day&brief description of where or what I was shooting that day). Now if I could find the ambition to go do that with my first four years when I started doing digital (very disorganized). I see some like to organize by subject matter but I found that got large very fast - hikes, plants, family, events, etc.

I don't want to do a back up of the system and apps along with hundreds of thousands of photos so on my last laptop I moved all photos off the C drive to all external drives (triplicate). This way makes the C drive backup quicker and I save a ton of space as well.

I chose the 80D over the 7DII when my 7D just quit when I was about to shoot the full eclipse almost 3 years ago.

The 80D is newer, an articulating screen, WIFI, 24MP vs 20MP. The one thing I lost out on is burst speed but then I rarely use it these days.

Now the 90D is the new go-to unless Canon comes out with the 7DIII.

I tried using something similar for my 5 in 1 collapsible reflector but I was using the diffuser part to take away the harsh shadows of the scene (plants in the landscape). The bar's shadow is on the subject though. Rats! Works good for reflector but not so much for diffuser. Where is the free assistant when you need one.

I tried using my old 283 but decided it best to just buy a couple of Yongnuo flashes instead and their remote controller and transceivers - works great with my two Canon flashes as well. The old 283 sits in the closet with the last film camera to share space and dust with.

If you go to a public outing, then expect anybody and everybody to want a keepsake of their visit. Disney World is a good example. There are some rude people who will push their way to the front of the line but that just has to be tolerated and expected for some individuals as they think that it is their god given right. Take it all in stride and move on to the next venue. It isn't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things.

Thank you both! R.G. mentioned one difference between the OP's new upload and my own, that of color cast.

But I also want to point out that the OP's and mine are two very different interpretations. Technical concerns notwithstanding, results become about personal preference and what story you're trying to tell. That is why I suggested that if his client is happy, he should be also

I noticed you lifted the shadows in your interpretation where you could start seeing some details of the happy couple. I did that on my original quick stab too but then I thought he said they liked the silhouette so I went back to what was shown. You are so right about interpretation.
