Thank you and you just nailed it. It was them, not me; just an observer with a camera, but had a 500mm lens so they didn't appear threatened going about there usual interaction. They said so much during the 20 minutes I watched and shot.
Thanks again.... nature is so special if we just stopped and watched (which I didn't do much for the first 60 years of my life). :-(.... a thing called work.

Thank you very much UYMike. It was in the 90's when I photographed them but stood there for 20+ minutes watching them.... and shooting.

This mom and chick were inseparable on the beach, except when mother would briefly leave for food while skimming a sandbar protected bay of the Atlantic. The little chick were go crazy, waiting and calling for her to return. They were cute and interesting beyond description!
