I disagree with #3. It's cows first.
I live in Illinois. If Chicago is selected, then something politically happened. This state is ready to fold. Chicago taxes are extremely high, cost of living is out of control and getting around the area is a traffic nightmare. As long as Mike Madigan is Speaker of the (Chicago) House, there will continue to be a mass exodus out of Illinois.
My guess would be Indy. Centrally located, low taxes, major newer airport, well thought out mass transportation, clean, and seems to have good leadership.
Aaahh, the flatlands of Illinois. I'm also in central IL...Bloomington /Normal. I have some great shots of Evergreen Lake and Lake Bloomington from my dji Phantom 4. Never tried flying around the farmers...some get a little nervous when they see a UAV.
I love drone photos. Gives a different perspective when the camera is at altitude.
Bought a gas portable generator several years ago and haven't had a power failure since! Good insurance.
I keep gas in mine. I use Seafoam to stabilize it. Works great. Starts on first or second pull.
I have a DJI Phantom 4 UAV....Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. Drone is a term most think of as military. UAV is also what the FAA calls them. The DJI forum will tell you how many problems we are having with unmanned units: falling out of the sky, fly-a-ways, (most of the time it is the operator. These things are smarter than we are).
I think I will wait until they have perfected anything that will carry people. :)
I am in the process of getting my FAA Part 107 Commercial Certificate for sUAS flying. I have a couple of friends who have approached me to take photos/video (4k), but I can't until I get my Cert. Good to see the $200 for Realtor photos. Wasn't sure how much to charge in central Illinois. That's a start.
Would love to see more posts as to how much you charge and do you do just photos, or video and photos for a Realtor photo shoot.
Great shots! I took a couple hundred photos there, but rare to have no one standing around the planes. You must have waited a long time to get those photos.

When you get your DD-214, go to the court house and they will keep a copy on file for you.
Just got back from Los Algodones ,Mexico. It was just a visit, not for any dental work. Maybe a hundred Dentists within a 4 block area. Many were American Dr's that go there two times a week. Most others are American trained. It was the "off season", so a cleaning is $15. I saw a lot of people that looked like they just had their teeth pulled waiting for implants. Cost is about one quarter of the cost in the USA. Our friends that we went with know many who have gone there with excellent outcomes. People come from all over the states; and Canada for dental and optical work there. Like anyplace else, go only to ones that are referred.
Maybe those climate scientists' income rely on grants from global warming believers. 15,000 years ago; a split second in earths history, the midwest was under ice. In the 30's, the summers and winters were so hot it was called the "dust bowl". The winters of 76-89 were so cold our local radio station was saying we were going into the ice age again. My how things change...and yes, there is climate change. Always has been and always will be; no matter what man does.
One thing I would be concerned about is if the case is lost, what is it worth vs. how much they will reimburse you for a case with "contents unknown"?
Having worked for a major airline, there is a limit as to what will be reimbursed if luggage is lost. There is a standard amount for contents, unless you can prove what was in the case. They will ask for a bag description and pay for or replace that bag.
Do not ship in a case with any hint of what is in it; like a Canon or Nikon case...dead give away as to a high ticket item that when traveling from another country, will not arrive when you do.
I might just swallow hard and put it in my regular locked luggage so as to not attract unwanted attention.
When coming back, I would cellphone photo the open case to show the contents with my return ticket included in the photo as "proof" what was in it.
Of course they can still question if the equipment was then removed and sold to someone there!!!! Bottom line....no win solution!
I wish you luck!
I dont own a 4k TV...yet. Maybe before I get so old and cant see, I will have a 4k TV. I have a GoPro Hero 4 Black which records in 4k. I don't normally shoot in 4k, but my PC can handle 4k processing; it's slow, but it works. My problem is when playing back the processed footage, it hesitates a lot in 4k. So I shoot mostly in 2.7k. My DJI Phantom 3 Advance drone has 2.7k; (1440p). I do record in 2.7k and playback in 1080p so my PC can handle it.
My PC monitor is 24" 1080p screen, and when I play a YouTube video, I sometimes play in what comes up; usually 480, and then I change to 1080p, it makes a world of difference.
Like said before in this forum, on a small screen, it doesn't matter, but when played on larger screens, it is soooo much better. I like the detail, so I shoot some in 4k for the future....(can someone tell me how to sabotage a current TV so I can upgrade?)
PS. Im 72 years young and love technology
Wonderful idea, however, being a helicopter pilot, I don't think those rotors are large enough to lift that car.
Still a long way to go. One day though..... and I hope I live long enough to have one!!!!
Sounds like you have had a lot of fun flying experience. I grew up in N. Ky, next to the Greater Cincinnati Airport; CVG. Flew out of "Sunken Lunken" many times. Also flew into Sporty's Pilot Shop.
Never flew a sailplane...another thing I wanted to do. Got close once. While stationed at Quonset Point, RI, two of us were on our way to take lessons when we got called back for to the Base. Never tried again.
We have an Ultralight group not far from where I live now. Would see them flying along Interstate 74.
Nice photo of a Cub. I have some time in a Cub. A guy had one while I was in Brunswick,GA; NAS Glynco. Wanted to sell it to me...fool for not taking him up on that one!!!
Guess I had my fun flying "in the air", so now will do most of my flying from the ground. Hard as hell finding a place to fly the drone here in Perdido Key, FL. Okay when I get home. Already researched and will be able to fly in town parks...at least until they ban it!
Kuzano...Have always had a desire to fly a powered parachute, but never pursued it. Nothing like strapping a motor with a prop on your back and climbing skyward!!!
I used to fly "control line" planes, but that was a very long time ago. Navy aircraft were more fun to fly....faster too!
