Ending a sentence with a preposition is a grammatical error, up with which I will not put.
It's really none of our business what people use to capture images, nor how they use them afterwards. How audacious to judge people on their choices of equipment. I expect that when I tell you that I choose to shoot film, some of you will find fault with that.
Once again, UHH's respond to a request without answering the question.
I substitute teach in a very small northern Wisconsin town, (population 1,000). In the elementary school, several times a week, each student is taught keyboarding on their computers. And, they are taught the proper method. I typed this on my iPad, using the two finger method because of the size of the keyboard. But, when on my laptop I use the proper keyboarding method learned in junior high school.
Your posts are almost always great--frequently funny. This one shows a spiritual, perhaps even a vulnerable side of you. I love it. It's a perfect Easter message. Thanks.
Mark, you are so right. I hesitate to post sometimes because most of the responses I get have nothing to do with what I am asking. Case in point. I listed that I was looking for a Olympus OM1n or 2n and I got answers ranging from the advantages of one over the other to someone telling me that he had both but they were not for sale.
I lost all my photos on my computer. No one could retrieve them. It was at this point that I went back to film. I have never lost a negative or slide.
And, some of them are more than 60 years old.
No Hurry. The mirror foam is the two little pieces in the corners in the mirror box that the mirror hits when it flips up. They simply need to be there. When you open the back, if the edges of the back feel gooey, those seals need replacing.
Hello again and thanks. My main concern is the accuracy of the meter, and presumably you have something you can use to check that. I have had a history of inaccurate Olympus meters. Secondly, do the shutter speeds "seem" accurate. Next, seals and mirror foam. Then dents. Worn paint is ok, dents are not. Then, how clean is the finder. This too, has been an Olympus problem. And what do you have to go with it--lenses, accessories, etc. and their condition. And, finally, would you put a price on everything, including shipping to Wisconsin. Thanks again. Paul
Hi, and thanks for your reply. My concern is "...as far as I know it works well." I am looking for one that I know works well without having it repaired. I need that assurance. Paul
Sorry we missed you. And yes, we knew about Winter, etc. They do great work there. And yes, we noticed the houseboat. Living on it seems like a great idea!
We visited the Clearwater, FL Aquarium yesterday. 80-90% of the people who were taking photos were using smart phones, including my wife and granddaughter. I spotted two digital p&s cameras, both Olympus. Of the 8 or 10 DSLR's I saw, ALL of them were Canon. No comment, just an observation. What's really great, IMHO, is that people are taking photos. Never mind the device they are using. I won't be posting any photos soon. I was shooting film.
Thanks, but I have had an OM4ti, and found I preferred the 1n or 2n or even the xd11.
It's back to film for me. These were my favorites. I really only want fully and correctly working models that are cosmetically in really nice condition. Yes, I can buy them all on eBay, but I thought I would see if any Hogs had any.
Thanks. Paul
