Since I deep-sixed Windows 10 and re-loaded Windows 7, my Canon SX-40 HS is no longer recognized by my system when I connect USB. I get the normal 4 window beeps telling me that device is not recognized. There really isn't a device driver for this camera as I recall so it's not a matter of downloading a driver.

My work-around is that I can pull my media and extract photos from it, but that's a pain.

Anyone that can give me a hint how to get back to the good old days would be appreciated.

(as an aside, several other functions were screwed up by the W7 to W10 to W7 conversion which questions the MS claim of easily returning to W&)

Don't know if it will help but I had similar problem. I went to device manager, uninstalled the highlighted usb items and rebooted. These slots then worked.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge can verify or give a better response.

Email this morning gave the link to download a book to limit Windows 10 in its knowledge of your habits. The cost? Information on your habits to Trade Publications. Hmmm. am I missing something?

She is beautiful. These deer are in a county park and are used to people. So, as long as no sudden moves, many of them will accommodate a few photos. John Chesnut Park in Pinellas County FL.
