When even the experts have differing opinions, I am not sure how you determine the difference between “real facts” and “alternate facts.” I guess it is like preferring “truth over facts.” Depends on what your “truth” is.

I was checking out a new lens and was disappointed with sharpness, started switching lenses on camera and setting iso higher to be sure I wasn't looking at camera shake, while I do need additional tests, and I do need to put camera on tripod, and turn VR off I've come to conclusion that my circular polarizer is biggest contributor to lack of sharpness. Yes it's a low cost one that came in a kit or 4 filters. My question is what brand of filters do you trust to give you best image sharpness. For reference camera is Nikon D7500 and lenses iv'e tried all set at F8 and 135 mm zoom are Nikon 18-140, Nikon 18-300 mm, very old Tokina 24-200, and Tamron 100-400mm

The lens you have are not the best of the best. I have one or two lens that are not high end but I like them when I shoot with Hoya Pro1 CPL filter I shoot in Manual mode for best performance.

Actually, towards the end of the video, Dr Mikovitz said something that Dr Rosenthal wrote in her book "An American Sickness" a few years back - said book being about how the health care system in the US has turned to such a shit show. In essence, government agencies as well as businesses (FDA, hospital corporations, AMA, big pharma and b=insurance) have colluded to churn money rather than work to actually help patients. Read the book - learn something (warning - it is rather aggravating to see what crap those players pull).

But here is my point - unlike some turd in his mommy's basement wearing bunny slippers and sputing "theories", or even newspaper articles (which can be full of crap but make a "correction" in an issue a week later, on page 56 below the fold, and get away with it), in our litigious society you'd best believe a lot more fact checking is done by the publisher to avoid getting their shorts sued off.

Youtube, owned by Google, is certainly left-leaning - as are the other social media titans. Remember Jack Dorsey (founder of Twitter) actually admitted a few years back that they had tweaked the algorithms to suppress conservative tweets. It seems leftists have a fundamental philosophy of "we know what's best for you!" and "government is a good thing" (government is a drain on society in that it produces nothing - but a necessary evil in some cases - the question is has the US government become far too large). - and so, high atop their insulated towers, they bestow upon the little people the nuggets of wisdom they deem appropriate to that end. ANd hold back that which they deem to be "inappropriate".

Again, I invite you to read that American Sickness book - get a sense of how and, more importantly, why, "the system" sucks completely
Actually, towards the end of the video, Dr Mikovit... (show quote)

Very well written and worth the read in my opinion thank you Lee.

I saw the video it was interesting and I believe truthful it’s real sad that YouTube/Google did this but because of their agenda and far left leaning I’m just not surprised, where has freedom of speech gone to if you can’t even discuss different viewpoints how sad it is.

When I think of "Shooting in Manual" I think of picking up my Nikon F, loading a roll of Velvia 100, grabbing my Luna Pro and going out to shoot.

What does "Shooting in Manual" mean in the digital world? Does that mean you turn off all auto functions, grab a light meter and make your expensive digital camera into a Nikon F?

Well YEAH!

I do use wiki but when did it become a trusted source, anyone can write articles on wiki - I have seen some strange things on wiki. In fact I have read articles by the same guy that contradict each other.

You didn’t read it did you. Yes I agree lots of people can and write on wiki. It’s worth reading with an open mind.

YouTube reliability rating is in negative numbers unless you can research and verify through at least 2-3 other sources and they should be known sources, not some on-line type in his mother's basement in his PJs and bunny slippers.

Now, of course there are exceptions. But you must verify.

Posted a single shot and a stack on the Astro Forum, opinion was that the stack worked better. The closer the moon is to full, and that happens tomorrow night, the more difficult I think it becomes to get an interesting shot. This with Nikon D7200 Nikon 200-500 5.6 hand held, unsupported. An 8 shot stack. Will post tonights' shot as well - who knows I may even drag out the tripod.

My guess is that this was taken around 1960-62. After the earthquake in ‘64, downtown Anchorage looked a lot different in places, including a lot of 4th Ave. Stewart’s Photo, however, is the same today as it was back then.

By the way, there are reindeer in Alaska. They are “ranched” in western Alaska by Alaska native people. The wild ones are the caribou and are larger. Also, just outside of Palmer, there is a reindeer farm that is a popular place for people to visit.

I think you’re right about the years.

If that photo was taken in 1964 it must have been before March 27 1964 because of the earthquake ripped the hell out of 4th street. I went up to Alaska, Anchorage In May of that year. I work for a oil exploration company lot’s of work after that happened.
