Am from north Florida. Don't trip a long ways on safari. I love reflections and sun flares. Iconic silhouettes with no details do not frighten me. I embrace shadows as well as light. No landscape is complete without a tree in the foreground. Love pics where there is no foreground. The more a photo looks like a painting the more I like it. I will post examples of these. "Create, manipulate and modify" in camera is not just a tag line. And I am a Christian; maybe I should have said that up front.

Okay - ah, I think things went badly my first time on here but what the heck... Yea if you let the camera choose there is nothing more to say. Why? I have never seen a Nikon go down to f/1.8 is it the lens you were using? I asked that before but I must have missed the answer. I can see by the postings that we only know what we know. Have you learned that it is not always best to let the cam decide. I think I used "P" mode once to test what the choices were. I am most satisfied in "M" mode but I understand completely the principals of inverse reciprocal mathematics.(exposure)
That is the prime directive for cams. Anyway I always get the defining first shot in Auto; the perspective. It is so easy to do that then check to see what the cam thinks it should be and then adjusting the setting if need be. Light does not change that rapidly usually. I strive to be able to create, modify and manipulate my photos inside the camera. Most people do not even think it is possible. When you got to that point you will be able to show motion in a still photo. - the avatar is really me.

RoxieMarty, I invite you to come and show your work and speak at the senior center where I volunteer. Honestly - any person whom has knowledege they would like to share is welcome in one of my classes. I am especially interested in persons that have the ability to create, manipulate, and modify images inside their camera. Do you qualify? Send me an eMail.

Yea a spyder! That's what the baby photo guy needs. You may only need one your self. They are less than a monitor for sure.

Sorry Roxi, we are on about the kidpic? Yea, I hate the smelly little things too but it is a history shot; you takes what you get and toss the rest. Please don't nobody take this to heart. I know this is not the same thing but my Dad would throw up his hand and say "Just remember me !" Every body else got shots - take what you can get and be thankful you got it!

Sorry am not hiding, was laughing. Not now. The photo is perfect! You need an ICC corrected monitor at your end. It looks great here even after transit. Add a couple of GAMMA's to the one you have and look again. Also do your photo prints come out too dark?
