I took my 12-24mm f/4 Tokina to the Grand Canyon, Sedona , Monument Valley last May with my D5300 and was very happy with the results.

I use the Tamron 90mm with VC with my D5300 and have been very pleased.
Has anyone used this combination? I'm intetested in your experiences.
Thanks
Gary
I have this on my D5300 and it is a real bargain
I'm not a pixel peeper, just an amateur. Worth the price.
I use both Nikon and Vivitar batteries in my D5300 with a 3rd party battery grip. I see little difference. I only use them as "matched" pairs in the grip (2 nikons or 2 vivitar).

I do have the 18-200mm Nikon. I'll make sure to bring it.
THANKS
I also have the Tokina 12-24mm f/4 DX as well.
Happy to do so. Looks a though I may have preempted a GAS attack. Thanks
Excellent advice, I do not know why that did not occur to me.
Thanks for your input? Would the D7500 be a lower cost alternative?
For our 35th wedding anniversary we are taking a 2 week tour of Italy in October. I currently shoot with a D5300 but would appreciate any advice as to using this indoors in low light flash prohibited settings. I have the 35mm f/2 DX lens..or should I be looking into upgrading the body?
Thanks
I have the MOVO GH700 on my D5300 with a Sigma 150-500mm OS HSM. Good value for price. Reasonable quality and easy to assemble.
You can get a carbon fiber version as well.

Thanks. Very interested in your experiences using the lens. I will be using it on a D90 for lunar photography.
