A 3mp image will not be as sharp as a 12mp image as the dpi will be one half.
Look at it this way take the 12mp image blow it up to 16X20 then cut out an 8x10 section.
Thats basically what digital zoom does.
The 8x10 section will not be as sharp as if you took the picture and used an optical zoom so that you got a 12mp image and then printed a 8X10.
Did you get an email from them with a download link and activation key ???

If you blow up an iphone image where you used digital zoom because the Iphone does not use optical zoom your image could be as low as 3mp.
You can see in an 8 x 10 that a 3mp image will not be sharp.
Had no issue, clicked on the link in my email, cut and pasted the activation code - took a whole 2-3 minutes.
Back around 1970 I used to Shoot Weddings on a Graflex XL on 120/220 film. I figured that it cost me $1.00 per picture film, developing and printing from a professional lab. In todays dollars it would be $6.75. per picture.
As you might guess we were very careful how many times we clicked the shutter.
Make sure they are stored in a dry location.

Not everybody likes optical viewfinders.
Only is better if you can take better pictures.
I take landscapes and use a tripod - there are no advantages for using a mirrorless camera.
If I had a mirrorless camera without an optical viewfinder and the sun was behind my back, it would be very had to see the display on the back of the camera with the sun shining on it.
I do Landscapes - they do not move - Bought a Pentax K-1 ( Upgraded to K-1 Mark ii )
