Nice work. You thought me to back off my zoom. Easy to find in the binoculars but not so much at 500mm x 1.5dx.

I like the foreground in the second photo, nice. The photos don't seem to be blue hour but perhaps minutes later and prior to the golden hour, though it's hard to say. An app called Exsate gives these times plus much more. Regardless, nice unique photos in the particular light framing.

All of your recent photos are truly exceptional, congratulations. I hope you find a way to make them widely available, calenders, local art shows, exibited quality prints, etc. Your own photo looks like you may have been armored cavalry warrant officer, thank you for your service!

I wrote and recently posted an article about the exposure modes that may be on interest. I never found much use for aperture-priority, but I changed my mind a little and gave it a try. In some situations, aperture-priority is certainly a viable option. Here is a link to the article.

I've read, re-read and saved your article and I appreciate your posting it for the group. Your well reasoned, tested and proven methods make a fine model. Thank you.

I've subscribed to Dave Morrow's channel for a few years. He not only provides excellent videos and tips but also explains his methods and reasons for them. He tests his methods and reevaluated and adapts. Because I spent several years backpacking I enjoy his quests. Dave's background is aerospace engineering, thus his constant examination of his results and methodology. Dave's teachings, for his art form, are on par with Steve Perry, Mark Smith, Ben Wilmore, Brenda Petrella or Matt Kalwaski (sp?). Just my humble opinion.

We lived in a trailer court at Galen, MT, 1956. I was in the second grade. Our attraction was a creek, provided miles of swimming holes in the summer and miles of ice skating in winter. The Milwaukee RR paralleled the creek and crossed it several times. The Milwaukee was an electric RR. One skinny dipping day I took cover under a bridge as the train passed. Really a bad idea.

I've been wondering where you've been off to and missing your special presentations. This one didn't disappoint but left me wondering; why 2 kinda sentence intro when 1, albeit longer, would have worked.

Nice series. It took me a minute to identify the first one.

I am sure that many will not be familiar with the setting. It is a long abandoned cattle loading chute, from upper opening looking down into the corral.

My thanks to each of you for your positive comments. These were taken on my alternative walk avoiding the frequent wind of my nearby walk. Our dog is always with me so walk time is phone picture time, sorry. Here's a yellow and golden photo.

Thank you Longshadow. The leaves on the road broke my usual mold so it has the greatest imprint in my mind.
