Which one of these modes do you use for your landscape shots? Here's an interesting video on why you should use
Aperture Priority mode.

I detest crazy videos like this that tell me "what I have to do". Use the technique that is best for your style of shooting be it manual or aperture priority. His video starts off slow and gets slower. Just my $0.02 worth.

Do whatever works for you. Some people might actually learn something from watching the video.

Depends on what my brain wants to create from what I see; but usually aperture mode.

OH YES!
Right behind you.
Better are those that offer "This is what happens when you do A, when you do B, ..."
Them the viewer can decide how/with what they want to do for the scene.

Is there any scenario where the DOF requirements are likely to change radically and quickly? I've been trying to think of possible scenarios and haven't come up with anything so far. To my way of thinking, aperture is something that you decide at the outset and once decided upon it's not likely to need changing until the circumstances (and therefore the DOF requirements) change.

One possible exception would be a low light situation where you can't let the shutter speed get too low or the ISO get too high so you have to accept a wider aperture than you originally planned - in other words doing a full reassessment due to difficult circumstances.

But outside of that, I make my choice of aperture with the intention of staying with it until I find myself in a different scenario with different DOF requirements.....

....which is why I stick with M+AutoISO and would recommend it over A mode. I would rate M+AutoISO+EC as giving the best combination of control and simplicity that you can get - and it's only in very specific circumstances that you need EC (which you'd need regardless of what mode you were using).

I've been using Aperture for years. I'm comfortable with it.

It all depends on how you want your image to look.

Sometimes people forget to select a category.

Most of these "you should" videos are aimed at novice photographers. Professional or experienced hobbyists know the how and whys.

If it bother's you that much, then please move it over. I don't have a clue on how to do that.

There’s a big "IF" in the article - use Manual mode IF the ligh is too low to meter properly. I don’t know why that’s an issue in landscapes. A pro in our camera club uses Aperture mode, sets the aperture at his lens's sweet spot (usually F8), ISO 100, camera on a tripod, and let’s the shutter speed float.
