Up until today, the only time I've been able to see a baby hummingbird's head is when the mother is feeding it. This morning, the mother was away, and the natural light was perfect. I would be able to get pretty close, without needing a flash. As I was getting near, I could see two, little beaks pointing up, above the rim of the nest. When I got close enough to shoot, one of the babies poked its head out of the nest, and looked at me. You can see the other baby's beak pointing up, right behind the front bird's head. Sort of an infant's attempt at photo bombing.

Had a few minuets to try out my new monopod, so I ran down the road and found a Red Shouldered Hawk and some wild rudbeckia to try it on. This was my first time using a monopod and really liked the feel, and solidness, and am happy with the results, kept the camera and lens nice and steady for sharp images. Please try the download

These are so impressive!

I buy these also and I think if I remember correctly I bought them by the dozen, something like that. I use them and I shared them with my parents for their cameras. It was a good investment, especially when you vacation at the ocean.

I have sigmas new 17-70mm lens. I got it to replace my 18-55mm kit lens too.
It is amazing and I would say it's my favorite lens to use for most of my photography.
You will love it.

I also have the Sigma 17-70 and I love it. It is the third lens I've bought from Sigma, as a matter of fact the 17-70 is on my camera most of the time which is a Canon t3i.

She spent $1400.00 on a Luis Vuitton handbag. What a P.O.S. for what it cost.

You could have a nice new lens for that or even a camera...

I'm in the process of buying a Canon SX60 WooHoo. Won't have to pay thousands for a Tele. I love this Hobby, but I won't let the wife know. She spends all her money on hair do's and make up, and clothes. I would rather have Cameras than clothes. But you can't have both.Ha Ha

I just received a new tripod from B&H via the big brown truck, my wife doesn't know about that either..... But have fun with the SX60!

I've always been under the impression that I wouldn't have a need for a fisheye lens. But after reading the discussion here and looking at some of the examples, I'd better change my thinking and do some research on a fisheye lens.

I'm still a believer in my OpTech, because I know it works, for me anyhow.

I'd go the 18-250mm and it should cover all your needs.

I always take my 18-250mm on trips with me and end up using it 80% of the time, especially for landscapes.....

I just purchased a Canon Power Shot SX60, instead, should I have gone with the Canon Power Shot SX50 and Why?

Thank You in Advance.

I bought two SX50's at Christmas time and the reason for that was because of the price. We bought them for our parents, who are older but very active and they seem to have adapted to the SX50 right away. If we could have afforded it we would have bought the SX60 in a heartbeat. My suggestion is to give the SX60 a chance to prove itself.

Hi guys, I just returned from the hospital after having an aortic heart valve replacement operation and am weak from the ordeal, but after logging onto the computer this morning, I have been uplifted by seeing that Canon is to release their new 50.6 megapixel Canon EOS 5DS R DSLR Camera sometime this upcoming June and, as you know, I am going to have one of them :)

Anyone else among us that feels the same ?

Good to hear that you're home and on the mend. Don't rush to get back on your feet and that will give you plenty of time to research that new 5DS R. And when you're ready to make that huge purchase, hit the ground running. Good luck!

I have a Canon t31 and love it! I shot a Canon since 1984 when I bought my Canon AE-1 Program and have been clicking away ever since.
