Can anyone tell me where I can get a Canon 300mm f/4 L lens cleaned and refurbed. And would anyone have an idea of the cost? Thanks in advance!

If you go to canonpricewatch.com you can sign up for an email notification when they are in stock again at Canon. It works very well. The last time they were is stock they sold for 1159.20.

I had my 300 f4 serviced by Canon in Virginia a couple months ago and it was $269.

The cost was $300 for my L lens which was standard for an "L" lens last year. Canon will give you the estimate if you call. It took only 7-10 days for mine.

Of the first five responses, 2 did not address the actual question. Not exactly unusual on this or most other forums.

Just how am I the 2nd one? The OP asked two questions. I answered the first one. In a way I also answered the 2nd one, since the link I posted gave him a source for the cost estimate he wants. BTW, the first responder, Gene51 also answered his first question. He didn't provide a link, but it's not that hard to find.

Actually, I stand corrected, you did respond with helpful information. I looked at the link quickly and thought it was a link to a Canon refurbished lens, sorry.
