As many times as people come in here and ask a product question the most accurate is going to come from the manufacturer. Who would disagree with that? What I find with this site with few exception is a plethora of personal advice but not authoritative. Since almost everyone is a beginner, the likelihood with exception is getting incomplete, or simply bad answers.

So many questions could be answered with just a simple call or email directly to the manufacturer, or does everyone think this is always the first place and only place to get information? Or are we just that lazy? You can always get information, good information is rare. in fact, when people don't have an answer, instead if just not answering, they will actually take the time to type, "I can't help you" or "I don't know".

Just yesterday, someone said that he took a picture in his bedroom of his TV screen and claimed the lens that was discussed was very sharp. It was a Sigma or Tamron 150-600. How on earth can that be authoritative?

Just saying ....

Remarkable, I saw a Nat Geo programe about crows from the University of Washington I think it was and this segment was shown, that was several years ago and to this very day I enjoy and marvel at this bird. In my yard I get Crows and I feed them but the closest I have ever had one come to me was two feet, I keep trying and someday who knows..I also noticed that when I go to the yard to give them food the alarm goes off and the whole flock collect it a tree to wait..

Yes. When using it be sure to specify your camera. Their ratings on lenses are affected much by the camera they test them on.

Unfortunately they don't test all lenses on all cameras. If they don't have your camera you are better comparing lenses on one they did test both lenses on. Hopefully you can find one near yours in resolution and dynamic range.

Thank you for, I used this site and it is a wealth of knowledge, thanks again

I'd look at a Canon site such at http://www.the-digital-picture.com/ as DXO tends to pee on all Canon products. You should also remember the 100L is a macro IS enabled lens that is not the same thing as the 135L. On your 70D it will also be 'longer' than 135mm. If I had to make a desert island choice of lenses, my 135L would come with ....

Thanx I would prefer not to pee on the Canon site and I did remove the "s" thank you for your time and help.

I received the above battery as a part of a package when I ordered a Canon camera on 4/14/15 from B&H. That battery has failed and will not accept a charge. B&H will only take a return on this item within 30 days of purchase. It has a one year warranty with the manufacturer but who knows how many hoops you have to jump through for that.

I know some people have reported no problems with these batteries. I would not have bought a Watson battery except that it came with the package. I recommend staying away from these batteries if you can help it.

I don't have any of the lenses you are asking about but I do have a couple Sigma lenses and several Canon L lenses. I like my Sigma lenses, and for the money, the 105mm is an excellent choice. The Canon may have a slight edge with stabilization and keeping the elements on the outside of the lens, but as long as you're not shooting in a rain forest or tropical jungle a dust storm or a tropical storm, the Sigma is the way to go. Also, since you are shooting with a 70D, you really don't want to have your camera out in nasty wet or dusty weather conditions, it's not made for it. Go with the Sigma...

Thank you so very much, your response was what I have been searching for, the Canon lenses are pretty well reviewed but the Sigma 105 nothing more than a unboxing, who does not know how to open a box?
Thank you so very much,

A few days ago I posted that I was having issues with my D750, Yongonu Transciever - Flash. They were not in sync. The flash would go off before the shutter. Well I kept looking around and posting everywhere. A fellow Hogger posted the name of a group on FB and the owner of that group is a US Distributer for Yongonu. The name of the group is Speed Light Fundamentals. So I sent him a PM. The problem was this...
Apparently, Nikon made just a slight modification to the D750 Hot Shoe. Made it just a tad longer. So when I placed the transceiver into the shoe the pins were not making the correct contact. So what I need to do is when I place it into the hotshoe I need to pull it back a tad so that the pins make contact. Tried it and worked like a charm!!! Here is a link that he sent me. http://petapixel.com/2015/05/05/nikon-d750-hot-shoe-reportedly-causing-problems-by-being-slightly-too-long/

My persistence paid off. So now I am passing along this information just in case anyone else runs into this issue...Thank You Hoggers!!!
