Was using a dedicated 100mm macro lens with a Canon's ring flash. Generally one would shoot in manual mode at an Iso of 100 and shutter speed of 1/250th and an aperature of F 22. Of course one could adjust all of the variables...I was playing around with setting the flash on manual instead of ETTL and reducing the power to shorten the flash duration. Also may have used one extension ring so I could move in a little closer and fill the frame a little better.
