Captured this series this morning. The wasp or hornet was so engrossed in eating the caterpillar that I was able to get within inches to capture this series.The last photo shows the body of the caterpillar hanging by a thread from the head which the Hornet(?) has in his mouth.

Great shots! I believe this is called a Paper Wasp. I think it is one of the most beautiful.
