This sure speaks well of the Canon 2X extender. Impressive. Then again you are using a 5Dsr.

My Canon 2x III extender has no loss of sharpness. But, it has to be used with the right camera and lens. I can easily photograph a car license plate and read it in the camera before I put it in the computer. So, the extra detail I get with the Canon 2x extender helps a lot concerning the larger image.
Thank you very much, FiddleMaker.

Do i get some type of reward? Just kidding. During the Bald Eagle season (now) and the Osprey season (early April to early September) I take a lot of pictures and post many of the good ones. Plus, in October I take many Fall color scenic shots.

Thank you very much, FiddleMaker.

A mail? (male) and a girl, maybe. The male Bald Eagle has a longer neck than the female. But I can't tell from that distance which one is which?

They were interacting while eating the fish, so I assume they were mates.

What is the trick at handholding at 600mm and coming up with a sharp image like this. By the way I love this image.

Thank you very much, sandylynn. Attach a handle or pistol grip to the lens. See my camera/lens combo below.
