Anyone else having trouble with the new Luminar 3?
I eagerly downloaded and installed Luminar 3, finally, with - hurray - Libraries. But...it just isn't working.
Libraries don't open, cannot catalog, and it crashes, or sometimes the program itself won't load.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled twice to no avail.
Really disappointing. Anyone else having issues?
I installed it with no problem and exported a photo from LR to process some more but when I finished with it and tried to apply and return it to LR, it never showed up. The image went somewhere but I have no idea where.
My install hung at activation. The email address and activation code don't work even though the code was sent with the email I am entering.
Not really sure I want to give up Photos’ own library organization.
Photos organized in the Luminar library will not be saved in the Cloud.
Still trying to understand the concepts but since I like Apple’s scheme, not sure what to do.
Luminar 18 is great in Photos as a plug-in...
Sorry I couldn’t help but it looks like we all are in the same quandary with Luminar 3.
I downloaded, installed, activated, and created my library with approximately 40,000 pictures all without a hitch. Using Win10 on a 4TB drive. I guess I am the lucky one. So far at least.

It was horrific! Total install took over 2 hours. Library looks like crap. Takes 5 to 10 minutes for the program to open. On install it just automatically added photos to the library, searched my whole system. So it added photos from my C drive, and then proceeded to add backups from drives D, E, and F! Wouldn't you think that any real software program would let you designate which photos you want in your library? I submitted a support ticket to Skylum. However, based on the reviews I have been reading there is some serious issues with Windows and their support stated it could be quite some time before I hear from them because of the overwhelming number of tickets being submitted for L3. I have since uninstalled L3 as it is useless! If L3 was a free update to L2 I would definitely ask for my money back!
Yes, I have Luminar 3. I was able to download it on to my computer, but when I click on it, the logo pops up on my screen, and freezes! I can't open it, and had to reboot my computer! I have tried to contact customer help, but so far, not much help.
Let me know if, and when, you solve your problem.

Well, it looks like misery loves company. I have a high regard for the software and company, but this looks like the makings of a minor fiasco.
It just won't work, and the import hung at 54% after 14 hours.
And as one poster stated, I too got an email stating it will be a while for a response.
The good news is that on Windows, they did not uninstall Luminar 2018.
I agree that the support sucks. Is the problem with Macs only or is Windows f*€ked up too?

My problems have been with Windows 10. A well-configured machine, plenty of RAM, runs other photo editing programs - including Luminar 2018 - just fine.
Mine have been with my Mac.

Installed Luminar 3 on Windows 10. Installed and added 30K photos to the catalog without a hitch. Using the program is a different story. Currently it is very very buggy on my PC. I will wait for an update which I hope will be not too far in the future.
